IMDB says it's another actor, but some other sites list that film in his filmography.

In the Final Countdown he's credited under a divider called USS Nimitz Crew Actors.

If they aren't the same actor, then a BY will be needed.

My guess is that IMDb is correct.

Your Edward Andrews  was born in 1914 and would have been 65/66 at the filming of TFC.

While your Edward Andrews was still acting at the time, I doubt he would have played a nameless crew member with his acting career under his belt.

If he was supposedly an admiral or something like that, it would be more likely to be him.

I believe many of the Nimitz crew cast were actual Nimitz crew.  Likely that is the case here as we'll.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

I found this info about the Final Countdown guy.

Link

Quote:
In the "ready room" scene, There in the link, front row third from right is Edward Andrews. He was my CAG aboard the USS Independence in Lebanon and was shot down on December 4, 1983. He was recovered by a fishing vessel after ejecting from an A-7. He flew in most, if not all of the Final Countdown scenes

Here is the screencap mentioned above.

And on wikipedia page it has the following.

Quote:
The A-7 pilot, Commander Edward Andrews, managed to guide his failing Corsair over coastal waters before ejecting; he was rescued by a Lebanese fishing boat and safely returned to the U.S. Marines.
