Ahh that actually makes sense, as Apple has issues  with adult content in the app store, if the app could add Adult stuff directly then they'd be in potential breach of their requirements and the app could be pulled.

Not sure if Google works the same way, but wouldn't surprise me if they did and if they don't then it's probably because it's easier to maintain one database for both platforms than it is two different ones.

You're right only Invelos can explain the exact reason, however, ignoring the flaws of the way it's handled (in my response to your other thread on this I did point out that the database is user built so relies on us correctly marking content as adult or otherwise)  they obviously feel there is a reason they can't allow us to add adult titles.

Maybe it's commercial, it's clear that from a US perspective being labelled adult has an impact on sales which is why many studios go out of their way to avoid NC17 ratings.

Comparing Profiler to a web browser really isn't quite right, web browsers are designed to give access to the internet, which is pretty much impossible to control access to without some serious censorship being applied. Even then it's pretty easy to work around, so expecting a web browser to be able to control this is ridiculous and no commercial firm would want to block access to this type of app as it would be deemed censorious.
