How were you listed on the credits? Soderbergh: I used a pseudonym: Peter Andrews. It's my father's first two names. " From The Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/weekend/story/0,3605,899386,00.html "His films often credit a Peter Andrews as cinematographer, a Mary Ann Bernard as editor - his father's name, his mother's maiden name, but both in fact Soderbergh himself." From Slate: http://www.slate.com/id/2156392/ "Soderbergh uses the pseudonym Peter Andrews for his work as cinematographer on his films, and the name Mary Ann Bernard for his work as a film editor." | Posted: | | | | Cast: I have profiles with (two each) Luis Guzmán and Luis Guzman (same guy, i know him by sight). Based on the web it's a coin flip whether his name with the diacritical or without is 'common'. In order to link them in the DB i replaced him here with the 'common name' and used the Credited As function to match the closing credits. Evaluate this contribution | | | Bad movie? Luis Guzman: 117/260 Luis Guzmán: 301/724 SECOND EDIT: I've decided to withdraw this submission and resubmit, to see if maybe the birthyear checkboxes were auto-checked and if I can uncheck them. Or something. Added this comment more for posterity than anything else. | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles. Luis Guzman: 117/260 Luis Guzmán: 301/724 NOTE: This is a resubmission. I withdrew my previous attempt when I noticed the BYs for Dennis Quaid and David Jensen, but even with this second attempt they're still there and there are no checkboxes to uncheck. I'm guessing they must've been approved previously? Either way, I didn't add them to this submission. Evaluate this contribution | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! | Posted: | | | | Here we go again. Although it would seem Dennis Quaid and David Jensen have their BYs approved somewhere in the database, so if those are inaccurate they need to be cleared from whatever profiles they're in as I couldn't uncheck them being contributed. Anyway, on to my contribution notes: While Luis Guzman is credited without the diacritical mark in the credits (at 02:22:52) the credit lookup tool supports the use of the "credited as" feature in order to preserve the linkage with his more commonly credited name.
