| Posted: | | | | According to the rules, if a slipcover is originally released with the DVD, the Slipcover should be the proper scan. This was how this DVD originally came, with a half-slipcover over the metal tin slipcover. The existing image of the rear is from the inner-DVD cover and not the actual metal slipcover so either way it is the wrong image. This may not be the best scan but it is the CORRECT scan. If someone wants to do a better scan please do. Evaluate this contribution |

| Posted: | | | | I am resubmitting with better scans since that seems to be the major knock on the other one I submitted. According to the rules, if a slipcover is originally released with the DVD, the Slipcover should be the proper scan. This was how this DVD originally came, with a half-slipcover over the metal tin that housed the internal DVD case. This half slipcover had the UPC on the top of it which enabled the stores to scan it. After the cellophane was removed, you also had to remove this half slipcover to remove the internal DVD case (which is what the existing scan is of which according to the rules should not be the proper scan for this DVD as a slipcase originally came with the DVD). Here is the only link I could find that actually shows a STILL SEALED copy of the DVD. http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/HIGHLANDER-immortal-edition-LIMITED-EDITION-TIN-BOX_W0QQitemZ320130845358QQihZ011QQcategoryZ22411QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Its a foreign ebay auction (scroll down on it to see the still sealed copy) but as you can see it is the official region 1 release and it is still sealed (which by the way took me 3 hours to find a picture of one of a Highlander dvd still sealed as the thing is freakin 5 years old and not many people still have them sealed in the original cellophane). As you can also see in the submitted scan the artwork copyright date was 2002 also proving that this is the way the original Region 1 Official release DVD was sold in all stores ( I can email you a higher res file if you need it as this websitr always shrinks it down a bit). I have also confirmed this directly with Anchor Bay that all DVDs of Highlander: The Immortal Edition came with this half-slipcover ( I work in the film industry and do a lot of business with them). If you prefer the existing scans, fine, but keep them locally as these submitted images are in fact the original and correct scans for this DVD as many of you double-confirmed.
