Hi,

is there a way to combine multiple DVDs of a movie series to one entry? For example, DVD-Profiler shows the entry "Police Academy" with a +, by clicking on that + it opens to all the different parts of the series.

Thanks

Are you wanting to have other profiles (box sets) show with the "+" similar to the Police Academy example you provided?

If so, the profile with the "+" would be considered the Parent profile and the profiles that collapse/expand when the "+" is clicked would be considered the Child profiles.

In order to do that you need to have a Parent, or master profile.  Edit your Parent profile (Ctrl+E), select the Box Set Contents tab on the Edit Profile window, and Assign the selected Child Profiles to that Parent profile.  Once finished, make sure you select the Save & Close button.

That will do it. Thank you for your help.

Somehow I wished, there would be another way. Box-sets for me are something I buy as a set. I would like some different way to link movies together, without making them box-sets. Maybe another sheet, where the images of the hole series are visaible in the right order and where I also see, which movies I already own and with a click on that thumbnail I get directly to that profile in my collection, which also has this sheet with the thumbnails.

You can't collapse the series without using a box set, but you can group and filter your series using sort order and tags.

For example, for the James Bond series of films I created a tag called "James Bond" and have checked it for each of the Bond films.  I also have my sort titles set to "Bond 01", "Bond 02", etc.

If I filter on the James Bond tag only those films show up, and in the order I assigned to them.

Thank you. I will create Box-Sets then.

Maybe this "franchise"-feature could be implemented in future versions of the program.
