| Posted: | | | | Maybe I am really nitpicking here, but what about a standard for TV series episode dividers?
Right now, I saw people updating various TV series profiles with cast & crew data per episode (which is great, of course). However, people tend to list episodes differently, e.g.:
1:Episode Name 1: Episode Name 1. Episode Name 1 - Episode Name
I would personally like to see it done in the same way (which way, I will skip now). Anyone else feel that way? | | | . · You are my center when I spin away. Out of control on videotape. On videotape · . |

| Posted: | | | | I do. I use:
1. Episode Name
Because it seems the most natural. The entries with leading zeroes I think look the worst. | | | Build a man a fire and you keep him warm for a day. Set a man on fire and you keep him warm the rest of his life. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with RHFactor. That's the most common standard for the simple episode list, makes sense to carry that over. It seems that the majority of "# - Episode Name" styled submissions are those importing straight from Tom's data. |

1 1. 1) 1]
Typically I use 1), though that and the numbering system is becoming questionable due to the very tight field size of the divider and Hollywood's tendency to use long episoed titles, sometimes those extra few spaces can make a difference.

| Posted: | | | | I use 1. Episode Name, the 01 - Episode Name take up too much space and with some long titles you need all the space you can get. For TV series that don't give each episode a title other than "Episode 1" I really don't see the point to do "1. Episode 1". | | | Are you local? I haven't done any like this yet... but for those I would just use Episode 1 or Episodes 101 or whatever they use on the set. But I do know of one set I have like this... Surface: The Complete Series... Episode 101... and so on. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I only use the episode name. The number is already in the simple episode list in the overview so I don't use it in the difiders...but that is just me. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I too am leaning towards this avenue, as I have noticed in some of the releases are different depending on which side of the pond you are on, ie some of the Stargate episode's are released in a different sequence. So if you just use the episode name, if it has too be moved it's slightly easier. Just my 2 cents worth. Steve |

| Posted: | | | | I don't use cast/crew listings to see what episodes are on which discs... after all simple episode lists don' t usually have the disc numbers in the list... in my opinion that would be more then a simple episode list. The disc tab or child profiles will tell me which episodes are on which disc.
When available I have the child profiles... if not available I make them as soon as I can get to it. So when I have the child profiles... I always delete cast and crew from the parent profile too... that way it is only in the child profile... for the episodes on each disc. I always hated the extremely long cast and crew lists.
In my opinion... I just think that it looks better and should be in the episode dividers. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I think it was settled for how the simple episode list is to be entered into the Overview.
I prefer just the name of the episode in the episode divider.
Since the Rules call for a "simple episode list" in the overview, it is redundant to put the episode number in the divider.
Not using the "Simple Episode List" is a personal preference, and should not be used to justify having the numbers in the dividers, IMO. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

In my opinion... I just think that it looks better and should be in the episode dividers. Maybe I am not understanding you. If you have disc level child profiles then, of course, the disc number wouldn't be in the simple episode list included in the overview. However, the episode number would. So when I look at the child profile for a disc, I look at the episode list in the overview. If the episode number is already in the overview, I don't see any need for it to be in the cast list as well. Again, that's just me. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
