| Posted: | | | | Can't you add in the version of dvdprofiler some extra features that would benefit all users?
Like adding groups to the database where you can assign different titles to different groups and name those groups by genre, or director or whatever you want. Say you have 5 sections of the house with dvdsa nd you want to group the 5 sections and map them on dvdprofiler. Is this not achievable?
Another suggestion is reassigning collection numbers. You would imagine that you could figure out an algorithm or a code to shift positions and what not.
Is this feasible? |

Three possible solutions: 1 - Location: In the Personalize DVD dialog (Ctrl & p) you can assign a 'Location' and a 'Slot' for each disc. 'Location' holds alphanumerics (Room 1, Cupboard 2, Shelf 3) while 'Slot' holds only numbers because is was planned for slots of a DVD-changer but feel free to use them however you like. You can filter for 'Location' but not 'Slot' 2 - Tags: see Create, edit and set Tags, you could define Tags and Childtags of your choosing. Full filtering on Tags possible. 3 - Collection Categories: see Create Collection Categories, although I think this option is a tad too "big" for this problem, but if you have no other use for this function you could go for it. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
