I had to leave that info blank...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067386

IMDB says "France", "Belgium", "West Germany"

DVD package says nothing.

More generally, what is the CoO of movies co-producted by several countries? (this happens quite often in Europe)

Take Belgium, definitely and you have only that one slot.

For CoO you have to look for the country where the primary production company of the film is based. In this case, Sofidoc seems to be the primary production company (e.g. according to BFI and movies.yahoo.com), and that's a Belgian company. There are indeed both Belgian and French companies involved.

You are quite right there is a problem with international co-productions. In the Feature Requests forum you will find several requests to fix this, preferably using a list of checkboxes as is already the case for Subtitles.

I would actually recommend to leave the country of origin empty in profiles for international co-productions (until of course a better solution with multiple fields is found). Finding the "main" production company can itself be a difficult task resulting in fights and arguments.

Sometimes, in European movies, the credits will say "A French-German-British co-production" or something like that. In these cases I choose to use the first country mentioned, as this seems to be how the filmmakers see it.

Released in Belgium as part of a serie of Flemish movies under the name:

Kroniek van de Vlaamse film 1955 - 1990
