Just checking a disc for regions and getting two different reading from VSO Inspector and PowerDVD

VSO is saying region 2,4
PowerDVD is saying 1,2,3,4,5,6
A contribution is being made at the moment changing this profile from 2,4 to All Regions confirmed with DVDInfoPro and Nero Info Tool
So why is VSO reading it differently to the others i normally use VSO for checking regions but now wondering if i should use something else.

It would help if we knew what title you were talking about.

The tools that I use are:
PowerDVD
AnyDVD
DVDShrink
DVDDecrypter
ImgBurn

Try using the last 3.  They're free and usually accurate.

Tried ImgBurn and if i did it right that is reading the disc as regions 2,4 only

I did try DVDDecrypter but kept getting error messages so had to uninstall it, might not be Vista compatible.

DVDDecrypter works fine on Vista... well... at least I've never had any problems with it.  ImgBurn is pretty much the same program anyway.

I can't tell from the screenshots you gave, but I'm wondering if the disc is RCE?

I wondered about that change too, so I tried playing the title in my R1 player. It worked without any problems, so I voted yes for the change

DVDInfoPro is also saying 2, 4
My DVD Player (Sony DVP-NS405) says 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Strange, but I would trust my DVD Player more in this case.

IIRC the Region is stored at least in 2 different places, and maybe this is a case where they are really different. I can't image why they would do something like this in DVD authoring, but I've seen stranger things.

eh, wait a sec ... are we still talking about "Trainspotting 044004-780025"? I didn't saw a contribution for that one! Locality "Australia"?
