I put a lot of pictures of actor and actress in my dvd database, when you download an update from invelos, have you got it for example to "Astérix & Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre" code "3388334807500"?

Pictures of Actors (headshots) are purely personal data, they are not uploaded or downloaded from Invelos in any way.

I know it seems a pity to you and many others. so let mne try and expand a bit for you. MOST pictures releated to people who work in film are COPYRIGHTED by SOMEBODY. As such, the Copyright Holder in some instances is legally entitled to be compensated for his "work", you are under US Court Ruling allowed to use such images for your own PERSONAL use, it's called Fair Use, but once the images a traded or exchanged in any form then Copyright Law comes into play. Invelos would have to charge substantially more for the program to be able to allow for that, so keep the program cheap won out.

What Skip forgot to say is that you can download a huge collection of headshots, "for your own PERSONAL use" indeed, right here... If you want to share your headshots with other users, you may consider contributing to that Headshot Master Database. Instructions on how to do that are included in the thread I linked to.

In addition to Skip's reason above is the fact that if Invelos were to include headshots in the online database it would take a whole lot more bandwith and storage than is warranted.  Plus, there seems to be a difference of opinion just which headshot one should use for any given actor/actress.  For this reason and Skip's it's reasonable to leave headshots to the local end of Profiler.

What tim did NOT bother to explain to you is us=age of the Headshot Dtaabase is a direct violation of the Copyright Laws, and those who use it are subject to enforcement of same by parties who might be interested in protecting their copyrighted material. The penalties for such are noit insignificant. In my book those who participate are no better than those who pirate and ILLEGALLY sell movies which do NOT belong to them. They are BOOTLEGGERS of a sort.

Yes... For example using someone's headshot (Hitchcock, Spielberg... or Disney...) for an avatar is a direct
violation of the Copyright Laws.

A Copyright Violation is a Copyright Violation. It is no different from what a Bootlegger  (Pirate) does. It involves Copyrighted material being used and shared and the person or organization who holds the copyright is NOT being compensated, it is called THEFT. You are entitled to build your own Headshot Library under Fair use, you are not entitled to share said images in any way without clearances or paying a licensing fee to the holder. It is simple it is cut and dried, it is what I have said in much less direct terms for many years, theft is theft and a thief is thief no matter how he rationalizes his actions. My biggest worry is that the headshot database accessibility exposes all of us AND INVELOS due to the illegal actions of a few. I will continue to build my own, and will share it with nobody as the law dictates.

Invelos does not seem to share this worry.  Not only are they allowing it to be discussed, they are facilitating it's distribution.

If you don't want to share your images, fine, don't share them.  But please, leave everybody else alone.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
