This was about a period of time when users were panicked, we had no communication from Intervocative for a very long time. There was some concern about some form of pssible legal action and given some otherr thing which were known Amazon seemed possible. As it turned out the user was absolutely CORRECT about the legal action, but it was from a different corner.

Completely wrong! We know nothing at all that Intervocative has ever been sued for anything by anybody. As you have said yourself, the Amazon rumour incident has happened even before Invelos has been existing. As we know Intervocative (some of the owners) has sued Invelos (the owner) about a year later. And for the new users out there, this has led to the situation that Intervocative is owned by Invelos.

Go back to Mars. We do know what happened and why. We even had the public documents, but its irrelevant now, as are your remarks.

No, it was before Invelos by about a year. We did not learn exactly what was going on until, after Invelos opened up shop.

Thanks
I tought it was the one from the beginning of DVDP 3.x since I had start using DVDP maybe 3 months before that. Didn't know there was others trouble before it...

It may be irrelevant. But maybe the Amazon incident has been the source of the rumour that IMDb has somehow contacted Invelos. And as we know, this rumour has only be corrected by Ken recently in this thread.

Besides the Amazon rumour (which has been proven wrong), a long time beta release (which never made it official), and some poor communication from Intervocative there has not been any trouble at that time.

You might want to read this, as it seems to give a very good explanation as to what happened (at least from Mr. Pearson's viewpoint)

Erm, why exactly do you resurrect this topic after 16 months?
