'Family Ties: The Fourth Season': Danny Ponce

'Hunter: The Complete Second Season': Danny Ponce

'Hunter: The Complete Series' is the same second season credit, so that should be ignored, the same credit shouldn't be counted twice.

That's what I would assume.

I'm trying to figure out his common name.

Current CLT results.

Don Ponce=4
Dan Ponce=15
Danny Ponce=10
Luis Daniel Ponce=0

Looks like a slam dunk for Dan Ponce, but when looking at the results I see the following.

He's credited as and in the following.
Don Ponce=4 (But appears in just one episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Dan Ponce=15 (The Black Dahlia, Man of the Year, Scrubs: The Complete Fifth Season)
Danny Ponce=10 (Amazing Stories: Vol. XI (Germany Profile), Family Ties: The Fourth Season,
Hunter: The Complete Second Season, Hunter: The Complete Series, The Last Mafia Marriage (Denmark Profile),
Oh, God! You Devil, Punky Brewster: Season One)

By my figuring the actual results is.
Don Ponce =1
Dan Ponce =3
Danny Ponce =7 or 6 if you disregard the Hunter: The Complete Series

So I just want to verify if this is correct or not.

The only thing that has worked thus far is to delete a profile from my collection, then re-add the profile.

Have you just tried to delete the images affected and refresh the images like eommen stated?

I've had this happen on profiles that are new and I created them and uploaded the profile and when it gets accepted it downloads the profile fine, but skips over the images.
The only way to get the refreshed images to "stick" is to delete and then refresh them.

As with any collectible it depends of supply and demand.

So yes, prices for certain titles will go up especially if the supply is very limited and it's a very popular, sought after title.
Sometimes, they won't really go up at all when they are mass produced in great quantities. For example all of those Star Wars Steelbooks which I see just sitting on the shelves about a year or so after release.

The only bad thing about Steelbooks is that either can get dented or the paint will scratch off. But I believe that there are protectors one can buy to put them in to help protect them.

All I have on my computer is Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player to play back DVDs.

Is there anyway to use those players to determine if a DVD is anamorphic or not?

I think that may be why I see a drop off of profiles being updated. And the ones I do see being updated are by a select few. Sadly those are the ones that are keeping this program alive.

Sadly?

Sadly, as in they are the only ones.
Ideally, every person that has bought this program would contribute.

I have to wonder what percentage actually do contribute.
But only Invelos knows that.

Well yes - I think the spirit of the site is very often anal retentive. More than that I strongly suspect a good number of potential users don't contribute potentially valuable updates because they are put off by what sometimes appears to be endless nit-picking.

Anyway I am perfectly willing to concede that anybody vexed by the possibility of receiving less accurate information as to the proportion of screen ratios of their movies might be concerned by the possible duplication.

I just seriously question whether the number of users so vexed amounts to much more than a hill of beans in  this crazy world.

And if my attitude seems flippant to you then you are probably absolutely right.

That I agree with.

I can see where a beginner worked on a profile and runs into a problem. They come here and post what is the correct way to do it and they get differing opinions about what is or isn't correct. So they get no true answer and leave confused and with a bad taste in their mouth.
So they just think, "why bother contributing? I'll just do what I want and keep what I do to myself."

And it may not just be beginners that are turned off, but long time users who just get fed up with the constant nitpicking or ping ponging of profiles.

I think that may be why I see a drop off of profiles being updated. And the ones I do see being updated are by a select few. Sadly those are the ones that are keeping this program alive.

I may be one of the rare ones, but I have never watched anything on Hulu or Netflix. Nor have I ever redeemed a Digital Copy. Nor have I ever uploaded anything up to a Cloud.

The only mobile device I have is my smartphone and I certainly am not going to watch a movie on a tiny screen. Besides I am not sure it even has enough memory built in to handle that.

I have edited the Super Troopers 2 profile and checked that it has a DVD as a media type.

So now it's a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo which matches the cover art.

Well I contributed it and I noticed that in the Video Format field it now has NTSC.

Now I made sure not to check that box on my contribution page, so it should not have been contributed.

But now that I checked it is now included in my contribution.

Is this a glitch or as it should be?

It's Yes it they are all the same.
It's Partial if not, as described above.

We don't do that for the audio section, do we? We don't include audio data, neither complete nor partial, even when the audio tracks of the various child profiles (partially) match. So why would we do that for video, then? What would be the logic in treating the audio and video sections differently? Surely, any line of reasoning that leads us to leaving out the audio data from box set parent profiles, is exactly the line of reasoning that would lead us to leaving out the video data of box set parent profiles as well.

I'll illustrate that further, as the principle behind leaving most data out of box set profiles is always the same, and applies to all fields that we leave empty equally. Here we go:

- Why don't we include cast or crew? Because the box set profile doesn't actually profile any content, so there isn't any cast/crew to track.

- Why don't we include audio or subtitles? Because the box set profile doesn't actually profile any content, so there's no audio or subtitles to track.

- Why don't we include features? Because the box set profile doesn't actually profile any content, so there are no features to track.

- Why don't we include Disc ID's? Because the box set profile doesn't actually profile any content, any discs, so there are no Disc ID's to track.

And so on. In the face of all that, how could anyone argue in favor of including video data? Again and again, the reasoning is that there's no data to track. When there are no Disc ID's, no audio tracks, no subtitles, no features, no cast/crew, then why would there be video data? How does that make any sense whatsoever? When we don't even track the disc itself, if there are no discs in the profile, then how can the profile have a video format? Surely that video information comes from the discs? If a profile doesn't even track the disc, it shouldn't track any information from it. It's really that simple.

Apart from the fact that making an exception for video data makes no sense when all similar fields are left out, there's the fact that Invelos specifically built in the behaviour that video data is no longer required as soon as a profile becomes a box set profile by adding child profiles. At that point, the previously required video data suddenly is no longer required. There's your answer...

All well and good, but I've seen contributions with studios (Non media companies) being contributed, voted positively for and approved and eventually released.

If as you say is true then non media studios shouldn't be allowed.

Also the same about Genres.
Why are Genres allowed for the box set profile? This has nothing to do with the box, but the movies contained within.

Why is the Country of Origin allowed?
That should be left blank as well.

Ideally the only data that should be in the Box Set main profile are the following.
Year (since this is required to contribute any profile)
Case Type
Release Date
Covers
Box Set Data
Overview per case
Media Company
Total Running Time (Since it's in the rules)
Rating (Since it's in the rules)

However, if we were to correctly profile just the box we probably should leave out everything that regards the children. That would include the running time and the rating too.

The only data that should be in the main box set profile should be regarding the box itself then.

Yeah, you can't contribute a new Profile without including Video Format.

I feel if everything in the Box Set has the same ratio, then you should include it.
Or say everything in the Box Set is 'Anamorphic Widescreen' with no specific ratio, for example, if it differs.

That's what I think too.

So I voted Other since it depends on the child profiles.

It's Yes it they are all the same.
It's Partial if not, as described above.

Steve Kramer ????
Actor
Sons of Anarchy, Skullheads
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3448436/

This is interesting: all three Steve Kramer's mentioned in this post actually seem to be one and the same person. Note that the three IMDb-links that were given, www.imdb.com/name/nm0469674/, www.imdb.com/name/nm1843724/ and www.imdb.com/name/nm3448436/, now all point to one and the same person, the Steve Kramer born in 1950. Since there were no other sources than IMDb for those alledged other two Steve Kramer's, and that source is now gone, we're back at one Steve Kramer, still born in 1950, but no longer needing a birth year - until we can document an actual different person named Steve Kramer.

Further investigation is required, but their is another Steve Kramer, according to the CLT.

Actor appearing in Son of Bigfoot.
Currently the CLT shows this one as the 1950 actor. However, IMDB says that it's a different one.

I bought the Grease: 3-Movie Collection from Walmart this morning.

First question, do we use the UPC# on the sticker or the case itself?
UPC# on stick is 032429305862

The UPC# on the case is 032429307873

Second question regards which title to use.

The cover is like this one from Britain. The walmart is like that one except for the ratings thing on the spine.

As one can see the spine shows Grease 3-Movie Collection.

So is the title?
1. Grease/Grease 2/Grease Live!
2. Grease: 3-Movie Collection
