The 'from the novel by' bit means it's OMB.

While we're clarifying this, then; what's a clamshell?

Like the following video. Thin plastic, like some of the old VHS packaging.

Yep. A large Keep Case, but still a Keep Case.

Could it have originally been a digipack though?

Sorry, yes. That's why it's not so clear.

I recently audited Mission to Mars to correct a few errors and noticed these credits...

Would these qualify for Creature Design?

Do we have a way around this yet?

I believe it's more akin to Script Editor in this case.

Scripts were sourced from the original American show "Who's the Boss?" to film the British version "The Upper Hand." Consequently, the writers credited on The Upper Hand are the original writers of the original script.

Credited directly after these writer credits is a credit for "Script Associate". For example, Greg Freeman. Presumably the person who had to 'localise' the script for the UK.

In this case, should we include these credits for Script Associate?

I've been told in the past that the cover isn't "significantly different" when it's the same cover but formatted for Snapper or Keep Case.

I, too, would be tempted by the 'Guard #1', 'Swat #1' etc.
But they're all listed under stunts, so I wouldn't put any of them in.

Please go ahead and add the cover scans for that Limited Edition. I can't be certain, but I'm pretty sure the Disc IDs should match the regular packaging.

If you're using the current version of Windows 10, DVDProfiler will definitely be scanning them wrong.

A simple solution and, although it took a while, worked fine. Thanks.

Personally I use AnyDVD so all disc IDs that I contribute will be the "correct" IDs. But I'm not sure how useful they will be, since most users will not be using AnyDVD.

One could argue that the correct discID is the one that does not use a driver built to remove copy preventions, something deemed illegal is some countries. I sure hope that most users are not using any of those decripters. I do not.

That used to be (and SHOULD be) the case, but the problem Windows 10 is exhibiting is currently being reversed, somehow, by AnyDVD.

I have a category, in my local database, that I called 'Alternates' where I keep track of Profiles I don't own, but I want to keep track of.

I don't have 'Purchased' dates on these, because I never purchased them of course.

But I have noticed that lots of random dates have crept into this category, probably remnants of moving the profile from one category to another.

Is there any way to remove the 'Purchased' dates completely from this category? Or is there a way to automate this process and remove dozens at a time?

Thanks,
Neil

Thanks for everyone who voted. I think that's close enough to unanimous.

I encountered this problem when trying to enter them in to my Wish List.

Some of them are made obvious by the inclusion of 'Complete Legacy Collection' in the Title, others are not.

I just want to get it uniform in the database. And there are others yet to be entered which I want to get right.

The following range of Blu-rays have been entered in to the database in two different ways.

They are either being entered in the Title field as "Dracula: Complete Legacy Collection", for example, or "Complete Legacy Collection" is being entered in the Edition field.

Which is correct?

But SlySoft AnyDVD proves that the DVDs are being scanned incorrectly. We DEFINITELY shouldn't be contributing these 'new' ones.

Has anyone found a workaround that will work for everyone?

We know SlySoft AnyDVD seems to fix the issue, but it was never free and is even more expensive now.

Are Microsoft aware that this is a problem?

Agreed. I changed the Title to something like DELETE ME!! and make a note in the contribution that it needs removing. If approved, it disappears from the database.

Okay. That's good. It's just there's been issues with Disc IDs being reported incorrectly under one of the recent updates to Windows 10.

Oh dear. The Disc ID being different could be a different problem. Are you running Windows 10?
