New version: v1.6
Finally! It has been a while since I released a new version.

New: Transfer selected/flagged profiles to CCV database
If no profile is flagged, currently selected profile will be transferred. Toolbar Icon is also available for this feature.
This feature has the same effect as exporting the profile to XML and importing it in Cinematic Collection Viewer.
This feature is interesting to those who use Cinematic Collection Viewer in parallel to DVD Profiler.
New: Automatically transfer profile changes to CCV database
If enabled (Tools->CCVPlugin->Auto-Sync Viewer Profile), all changes done to a DVD Profiler profile will automatically be transferred to the CCV database
This feature is interesting to those who use Cinematic Collection Viewer in parallel to DVD Profiler.
New: Additional Info window
New window which will display all additional infos entered for the selected profile in the CCV database
Change: Award display algorithm synched with current version of Cinematic Collection Viewer  (talked about changes in this thread should be included)

Notes:
- I first implemented the syncing of the profiles about two years ago. I never released it, because there is a problem when DVD Profiler has been running for a few days.
After that time an unhandled exception occurs when using this feature. Recently I got a chance to look further into it and I found out, that a function I use from the Profiler PluginAPI is causing this problem.
There is nothing I can do about it (I have reported this bug). When this happens, only a restart of DVD Profiler helps. When this error happens, no data is lost. It happens during reading of the profile infos. No changes to the Viewer database has been done at this point.
- I personally have been using the manual syncing for a long time now. I don't expect any major problems with that.
But I haven't used the auto-syncing much, because I like to work on the cast and crew in CCViewer while I am working on the other infos in DVD Profiler in parallel. When using auto-sync I would overwrite my cast and crew changes before I have a chance to copy them to the DVD Profiler profile.
So I don't have any experience using this feature in the long term. Data loss is not to be expected though if a problem should arrise.
By default this feature is disabled.

Tom,
I am running Vista, dvd profiler 3.7 and version 1.6 of the ccv plugin.  When I update the awards file via tools...ccvplugin..import awards file dvd profiler becomes unresponsive.  The progress status bar does popup, but never shows any progress.  I have to terminate the dvd profiler windows process to get out of the program.  When I go back into dvd profiler it asks to run the database repair tool.  This has happened with all previous versions of dvd profiler and the ccv plugin.

When I get back into dvd profiler the new awards are loaded, but it just does not seem to work very well, as described above.  The windows system32 file is present.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you sure it just hasn't finished importing? The progress bar only goes up for each file which has finished importing. If you are importing the "all awards in a single file" version of the XML, it is just only one big file which could take a little. How long did you wait?

I am importing the all awards in a single file.  I probably waited 10 minutes or so.  What is a typical load time for this file?  I can give it a half hour, or whatever it takes.  It just did not seem to be getting anywhere.  The progress bar did not move at all.  I have about 400 dvds in the collection.

It shouldn't take that long. Maybe a minute or so.

I've always noticed when updating the full single file that it can take a few minutes.  I usually just start it and then do a chore.  It's always done by the time I come back, but the lack of any indication of status while the process is running can be disconcerting if you're not used to it.
