Also set the compression ratio inside DVDP (edit covers menu) to 100 to ensure the best possable submission.

Thanks for the tips, I'll use em in later submissions. I've used the sharp filter but haven't resized anything.
Do you just use the sharp filter in photoshop, or is there a special one that works better?

True, you may want to check out the file size of the cover image before submitting and adjust as needed and repaste.

A lot of graphics programs out there have Sharpening tools which work well. Corel Paint Shop Pro, Paint.NET and ThumbsPlus to name a few.

Please, don't apply to much Sharpening. A little bit is OK. But I have seen a lot of cover submission where the sharpening filter has been overused.
