Recently I've come across several profiles that have credited a company instead of an individual person for certain crew credits, usually invovling sound.

The first one I came across was for just one of many other sound credits in a profile so I simply removed the credit and so far the submission has 30+ yes votes.

I've now come across another and this one is for the Music Composer credit so removing it would leave the whole music section empty.  I can easily document the 3 individual people behind this single company name so I'm just curious if I should do that and what would be the best way.  I think I have 3 options here, unless someone has any ideas.  1.) Leave it as is with just the company name. 2.) I could list the 3 people by themselves for the credit and document they are behind the company in the Notes (they are not listed by name at any time in the actual credits) or 3.) I could list the 3 people individually and use the "Credited As" to put in the company name.

I'm leaning more towards #3, but figured I'd get some opinions before doing anything first.

-edit-
Actually, this could be about a band as well.  Let's say for a writing credit of a song.  If it's in the credits and only lists the band name for the writing, do you just do 1 credit for the band or do you credit each band member and use a Credited As for the band name?

For your edit, this conversation has come up before and it was the common consensus to credit the band instead of each member in said band.

You definitely can't list people not credited in the crew section. The rules are clear on this...

Rules Quote:
Quote:
Do not contribute uncredited crew members, as they can not be identified with (uncredited) as they are in the cast section. If you wish to see these uncredited crew members in your local database you can do so, but do not include them in contributions to the main database.

In this case the company is credited... not the people... so putting the people in would be adding uncredited crew members.

I can see the fine detail here.  In my mind they wouldn't be uncredited since I would be using the "Credited As" feature, but I can see from your side that technically they are not listed in the credits by name which would make them uncredited.

It seems silly to just empty out the Music section completely so perhaps since they're all ready in the profile, I'll just leave it alone for now until some other solution presents itself.

This is one that would not even be fixed by Open Credit listings. The answer is for the Online to MATCH the Screen data and if you want to do something else, do it locally. So if the data is currently wrong, it should be corrected.
