I submitted a contribution for South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. I got Yes votes but also a couple No votes asking why I removed Cameron Frankley from the sound crew.
The fact is, I didn't remove him!.
I PMed the two voters and I hope that will settle the issue.
However, I was surprised that two people asked for the very same thing, so I wonder: is there some technical problem that makes it seem I removed Cameron Frankley?

Could it possibly be that there was an earlier contribution that added Cameron Frankley that you never downloaded... so when you uploaded your changes he wasn't in your database so it is now removing it?

As far as I can see, you now only have YES votes.

Both FunkyLA and I pointed out in our Reason to vote Yes that the No voters were wrong.

Who knows!
I haven't looked into that one, but in most cases there is no way to tell for sure.

In the Introduction of the Contribution Rules it is said as a general principle that
Quote:
"The authoritative source for information submitted should be the DVD itself.  Please don't submit content from a third party database..."

but first name / middle name parsing is never taken from the DVD itself, and it's not even useful for alphabetic sorting!

I really hope we'll have a unique Given Name field instead of the present two fields First Name and Middle Name.
