I must be missing something, but where are the galleries? I just installed 3.5 and see all the other new fields, but under images it's the same old front and back.

Galleries may not be checked off... go to View --> Windows and check Galleries

I guess you worked it out

It's not the best system, I know, but it's a limitation of the plugin. Basically, entering a file prefix allows you to give the photos a meaningful name to you (because otherwise, it'd just be a number).

Then the select/deselect/delete page just gives a list of the zip files you created for you to download. With the ability to delete them once you have downloaded them.

I have no idea how long they stay available though once you  have generated the zip file.

As Pete already said, you have to activate a window in DVD Profiler, and from there, it'll create a folder (by UPC) that will allow you to put pictures into for display in Profiler.

I'll also point out that there is an existing layout for gallery pictures which works with 3.1

And which, last time I looked, was much better than the new 3.5 window.

So I will be using these pictures in the old gallery layout.

I kinda liked the html window version better too at first. But then Ken went with some of our suggestions to make it better. So now I am more happy with the 3.5 version then I was the html window. Now we can have full sized pictures by double clicking the thumbnail... and we have an image count in the window. Plus no more renaming images to just numbers if you don't want to. I also like the easy access to the folder for that profile from the profile.

So if you haven't checked it out in a while you may want to give it a look and see if it suits your needs now.

I hadn't seen that there were any improvements - I'll give it another look.

Of course the biggest problem for me looking at the pictures was that I had to rename all my existing gallery directories so they included the country prefix. I assume this is still the case?

I really don't know about that since we don't have a country prefix on our UPCs/Disc IDs

That's only because you buy only R1/US titles. I had to add the .3 suffix for all my Canadian DVD.

That would be why then. I do have 1 or 2 Canadian releases But I don't think I have any galleries on those.

just given the new version a try again - and still it has the same problem - a split window. With the layout I use I have a narrow window for the gallery. That works fine with the html window since that just shows the thumbnails - and when I click on a picture I get the full size picture. With the new version I have a permanent 2nd pane which is useless.

Oh... didn't see you mention that earlier or I could have let you know about it. Well at least you have the html window for them And you can still take advantage of the site.

it was exactly the problem I raised during beta testing - all it needed was to be configurable with the split horizontal rather than vertical.
