Could someone please explain how to correctly interpret the number of titles and confirmations?

I'll sum it up: the correct common name for DVD Profiler purposes is Frank McCarthy (even if ALL titles listed under the closest runner-up name variant turn out to be correct, it still won't beat the number of Frank McCarthy titles).

It can't be that simple:

Among the 19 Yes-voters for common name "Francis McCarthy" are valued users like kahless, DJ Doena and TomGaines (see #7-321921-242755).

The only No-voter is unfriendly person bbbbb, who thinks that according to the referred thread-result "Frank McCarthy" should be the common name.

The contributor has corrected the common name to Frank McCarthy now.

With 19:1 yes-votes no screener throughout the world would have declined the contribution,
and poor bbbbb would have been degraded by Invelos' internal voter scoring system for not
following the choice of the masses. Damn, that was close.

Sorry, my fault, I'll try to be more careful the next time.
Thank you for the corrections!

In the beginning I thought a movie based approach, just like at IMDB, would be a reasonable idea.

But now, that I know that each and every DVD and Blu-ray release of a movie has totally different
cast and crew credits, I'm not convinced of it anymore.

My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

I have an entry for him as Frank X. McCarthy found in my database.
Alf Season 1, episode 23? ("Try to remember" (part 2))

Just would be interested if he has this credit also. Would be nice if someone could check.

No Good Deed:
FRANCIS X. McCARTHY
(4013549871815, locality Germany)

Btw, according to imdb "The House on Turk Street" was just the working title and should not be in original title field.
Please correct me if on-screen credit of the locality determing the original title is different to "No Good Deed".

Edit: This was the only one I could help to confirm at the moment.

Just editing this profile now (so it may not be in the system at the moment, but it will be when I submit it in a day or two):

Melrose Place: Third Season: Francis X. McCarthy

Update: The Profile has been accepted and is now in the system (using the common name of course).
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.
