No James and aagin you mis read in order to apply your own spin. I said I started out with out a polite request for verification accompanying the no vote. Why because I have explained that already, the box is manually editable by YOU, I was aware of problems with the progra in reading, you obviously weren't and was just la, la, la ing through the forest. I gave you thirty six hours to respond, which you did not, so I got a bit more sarcastic with an addition to my request for verification. I waited another 24 or so and you still seemed to ignore it, so then you got blasted and from my view point you deserved it.

You still don't get it, and you admitted that you don't monitor your Contributions very closely. I would submit that not closely is an understatement. I watch you vist the forums 3 to 5 times a day every day, yet you don't check your Contributions...that is one of the very things I do, when I have been offline for awhile.

I have told you before that i find you parsing of comments to be insulting and the reason is because you aren't dealing with the entirety of a comment and clearly now don't even understand what you are being told evidently.

Even Ken acknowledged the problem in his posting and explained it, I was not the ONLY user that was aware of this anomaly, clearly and Ken was clearly aware of it. You weren't aware of it and you were not about to provide documentation as far as I could tell, Ken has now explained the problem in good detail and how to get a correct reading of the layer. For myself, I will probably continue to use other tools to confirm for awhile, til I am satisfied that the bug is dealt with...but that is me.

I am sure you are thrilled that Ken has saved you some keystrokes and i won't argue it further, I will just continue verification as I always have.

You think your posts are not ocffensive, james...don't make me laugh. You aren't as bad as Rick, but your posts and demeanor are offensive and insulting. You get what you give from me, James and that staretd with your FIRST post to this thread.

I believe Ken has made statements that contribution notes and vote comments should be civil. How then do I "deserve" to be blasted in your 'no' vote comment? The increasing intensity of your 'no' vote comments were unknown to me until I saw the blasting comment. There was no ignoring going on. It never occurred to me to closely monitor a Disc ID submission.

Differences of opinion on what the rules say cannot be insulting.

Thanks for clearing that up, Ken. Useful tip indeed and as it turns out, that's how I had been doing it all along (talk about coincidence). But still, useful to get the info! Problem solved, I guess.

James:
The perhaps you should check more closely, hmmmmmm. That seems like a reasonable response to me. You know how quickly I respond to valid comments when i see them, though will again ask for PM's, that is the surest way to get my attention. I am scared of overlooking a valid No vote unintentionally simply because I am wading through so much right now.

James, I can't know that you don't check your Contributions, like I said that is the FIRST thing I do when I return to the computer. I do know that you come in every day 3-5 times, I can even predict your times , no I don't need my Magic 8 Ball for that.         Given that, I figured you were ignoring my No vote, until you publicly complained about it and started spinning to try and defend your position, which until Ken made his post,  you refused to recognize that there was indeed an issue which some of us were aware of, you were simply blindly going with whatever...right. You screwed up in my book, James. I am glad to see Ken's comment and the explanation of the problem and how to avoid it until 3.6, but it doesn't change that you screwed up from my point of view and from your point of view I sceewed up. Kind of like you call me insulting and to me you are insulting. That's why I keep trying to tell everybody that this is a two way street and the childish games that are played by some users that just have to enter a discussion for one reason  and that is to snipe at someone is just that a childish game wiith only one purpose and that is to further inflame an issue. Those users who participate in this behavior should know who they are, because i call them on their unacceptable and childish behavior and will continue to.

I agree, Taro, good to know. I am not sure if what he explained was excatly what I had been seeing (it was rare), but it seems likely.

It certainly would help if for once you would exactly explain what you've been seeing. But as usual, your posts contain little or no facts at all. Which is kinda amazing from someone who continously talks about proper documentation or lack thereof.

Instead you continue to spread misinformation and unfounded accusations, combined with vague (or not so vague) hints about your knowledge and experience, while at the same time clearly demonstrating that you have neither (On page 1 of this thread you weren't even aware that the program reads the layer info).

I apologize to everyone else for this rant, but every once in a while that really gets on my nerves.

If someone contributes a Disc ID I have, but changes the checkbox, I always check with my own DVD before I vote.

I'm convinced you are Ken's brother-in-law and he his stuck with you like the rest of us, thus the reason of allowing you to run rampant through this forum with absolutely no moderation.

How can this possibly be acceptable is beyond me.

Yet another useless remark designed only to further inflame. Good job, Alien. <shakes head>     No I am not related to Ken in any way. I am much uglier than he is.

Moderators are here when somebody says the truth about that guy, and use ban even without insults, but when he insults the other users, there is nobody. In another thread I wrote that he was overprotected by Invelos, I see I'm not alone to think that.

I didn't know you were bnanned, suirfeur but based on these two comments you have made I can readily unbderstand why, though i don't approve of banning. BTW, surfeur it is my experience in life that the true racists are the ones who accuse others of being racist so perhaps you should look to your own accusations. I was also not aware the being French represented any kind of Race or ethnic group, but your behavior does not make me ashamed to be related to France. Fortunately there are others from France that offset your behavior and make me proud to be related to the French. Sorry, bud, you are simply a very nasty person, though I can accept that and still consider you a friend, just very badly misguided.
