This seems to be headed for a serious case of data overload, in particular for crew. Of course it's nice to know who the caterer was that provided those great doughnuts on the second day of the shoot, but unless you live around the corner, what will you do with that? But seriously, I just watched a movie (still happens sometimes), where the end credits ran for over 10 minutes!

I sure hope partial updates will be possible, because even now, a correction in one field often screws up another.

Unless I missed something, Ken didn't say a thing about adding new crew roles so I don't see this as a case of data overload, just making the current data meaningful.  I have done a couple of profiles where all the visual effects were done by ILM.  I did another where all the sound work was done by Skywalker Sound.  We already list those people in the credits, at least I do, these new dividers will allow us to enter the fact that they worked for that specific company.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I hope you are correct about this just being about organizing dividers as opposed to opening it up to even more crew credits.  Oddly enough, I'm not usually that interested in tracking who the gaffers and personal make-up artists were - but that's just me.

Well, while we certainly can't include gaffers now a case COULD be (and has been) made for personal make-up artists.

I hope they fix whatever it is that addends the  "Edition" on to the DVD Title (movie name) in the Online List of owned movies and in the gerneral "Title" of the movie listings in Profiler.

--OR-- Make it an option if a number of people like that it that way.

IMO only the "Title" of the film should be on that listing.  I have found that if I remember to lock the title I can remove the Edition from the listings by leaving it blank then locking the title and when updates are done it doesn't seem to change it back.  But, that is a hassle if you've forgotten to lock the title and updates changes it back to default.  Plus if you have hundreds of films and you want to change it, it is a lot of work to  go back and remove the edition and lock the title.

Jerryel, To display just the title without the edition, do the following:

Tools (at the top, between Online & Help)
-> Options
-> Display
-> -> On the far right hand side is a spot to click how you want your title displayed.
-> Hit Ok.

How annoying...and how great!

Some of you may know I was using dividers to do this very thing. But, because many people objected to this data being submitted I stopped doing it (too much hassle adding them after submission).

Now, I'll have to go back over all the films I've locked and re-do them! Sheesh!

I believe Jerryel was referring to the online view - not the local collection list display. I know the blue one behaves this way. Don't know about the peach one.
