Thanks man - I worked hard on it, as I'm sure you did on that amazing HTML section. Having various options is good for users. "Different strokes for different folks," as they say. I'm sorry to bother you again, I've tried what you told me to do but it doesn't work. For some soundtracks, the WMP appears and it works perfectly but for most of the others (in fact 5 out of 8) I get this message
File not found or empty:
"C:\Users\sony\Documents\DVD Profiler\Soundtracks\883929064946.mp3" the WMP display doesn't appear but I can hear the music and it stops after 20 seconds. That's odd!
Thanks a lot for your help and don't feel obliged to try something else for I've never realized it would be so difficult to deal with. |

| | Posted: | | | | That's really odd! Are there any significant differences between the mentioned soundtracks? File types, codecs, length... whatever. Have you replaced all of the old code with the new one I sent you via PM? Because, the new code only contains one filename pattern ( <UPC>.mp3) and the error message "File not found or empty" is only displayed, if there are more than one pattern available AND if the file can't be played. Ergo, the described behaviour shouldn't be possible at all...  And do I have this right, the file "C:\Users\sony\Documents\DVD Profiler\Soundtracks\883929064946.mp3" definitely exists? Have you tried to run WMP from the start menu and then open said file? Does the file play? If not, then the problem seems to lie in the file and/or Windows Media Player. Next thing you can try is to search for testTimeout (press Ctrl+F) in the WMP Embed code and replace the default 1 with 5 and try again. Increase the value (by 5 at a time) and try again, until you reach 30 or 40. I'm also using WMP 11, but on WinXP. And VirusPil is using Vista Ultimate 32 bit. What version of Vista are you using exactly? 32 or 64 bit? Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise or Ultimate? It's unlikely that it has something to do with your problems, but honestly I'm out of ideas...  | | |

Change the testtimeout from 1 to 30 and maybe this is where I was mistaken  this time I've stored the filename in the notes section of each profile using your program // These always take priority over the filenames defined in this file. // Syntax: <wmpembed="C:\Users\sony\Documents\DVD Profiler\Soundtracks\883929064946.mp3/> and it works perfectly, I'm so pleased  . | | Posted: | | | | That's good news, you're more than welcome  Storing the path in the notes is meant to be an alternative, but can be combined with the filename patterns that are defined in the script. A drawback is that you have to enter such a tag in every profile... To be honest, I don't exactly understand why the tag works and the patterns don't. Could you please send me the window code you currently use (everything, including your own settings etc.) via PM (don't post it here, please) ?! Perhaps I'm able to finally figure out the real problem... Thanks! | | |

Greetings! This was one the main reasons I orginally created the plugin LoadDVD. Since then it has evolved to playing trailers, DVD ISOs, loading discs from changers, picture slideslows, and renote contol of your a/v system. If you decide to use my plugin, then one easy way to get what you want to to put "[PLY] musicfilepath" (no quotes) into the Location field of disc 1 (or any disc for that matter). You will get a disc icon when you select the DVD. When you click on it, the music will play until the end, or you click on a different DVD LoadDVD disc icon. The music will play with whatever program is associated with the music file. The Location field has a limited length, so if your music filepath is too long, another way to do it is to put the word "file" in the Location field, and the following text somewhere in Notes: [filepath disc="1"]musicfilepath[/filepath] There are a bunch of other options. I just gave you a couple. Of course musicfilepath is the full path to your musc file, such as d:\mymusic\jazz\favoriteitem.mp3. | | | Thanks for your support.
