I'm submitting an 'extended' Overview for Rain Man as I feel the first two lines of Overview which contain the same sized fonts should be included as it separates itself from the very top two super enlarged Fonts that 'advertise' the Movie and this part of the overview would be a 'prequel' to the rest of the overview that is separated by the  'window' in the center of the jacket .  It also illustrates the trademark R and the subsequent footnotes below I have circled .
As well the Newsweek review would be just as instrumental in its review here as Joel Siegel's review for the bottom part . I've circled all the areas of interest for analysis.
Getting some negative feedback and I think I'm in the right here..

The first review, above the images, is not incorporated into the overview.  Per my understanding of the rules, it is not allowed.  In this case, the overview starts after the pictures.

If I were voting on this, I would vote yes as it appears to be part of the overview to me.

In addition to being the same font and having the same margin rules to the rest of the description (something no other part of the back shares), it's very similar to the 12 Angry Men description as far as style -- incorporating the reviews into the overview (not accounting for the pictures):

I must agree with Mad here.  It is unfortunately 3 review comments that are put together to for a sentence.  The overview begins at Charlie. As far as Joel's comments of "a poignant, profound and powerful film" , if they were not directly incorporated into the paragraph, would not have been included either.

And in all reality, the overview for 12 angry men should not include the first paragraph. That is multiple reviews combined to form a couple of sentences. They serve no purpose for the overview.  The overview starts at Eleven.

IMO

While I tend to agree with you here, it would be opening up a huge can of worms to change these and others like them, as there are a SLEW of films that have this, and that would be a ton of changes that would lead to multiple multi-page threads.

For example, Office Space does the exact same thing, but in the last graph (and that's where I generally see the batch of reviews thrown into a graph on a lot of titles):

That's why I would agree with widescreenforever's change, because it's not something new, as you see it in a ton of profiles now.

I have change my opinion.  Because of the circles that Widescreen added, I missed the fact that there are three review snips incorporated into the first sentence.  As such, it does qualify to be part of the overview.

Good luck, widescreen.  I tried to add that paragraph before and was voted down on it.  So I withdrew & kept it local.

I don't have this film (thank god, Dustin Hoffman is so annoying in that), but if I would have it my opinion would be that the overview is after the film pictures and doesn't include all the last part (the Joel Siegel quote). Critics quotation had nothing to do in an overview and aren't part of it.

But since I don't own it my opinion isn't really important since I will not vote on this

But how is it any different from the examples I provided?

Then I am sorry to say you are wrong. This is a pretty black and white issue. The overview rules are very clear. The part widescreen wants to add is not a tagline nor is it a review. It is simply the 1st sentence of the overview with the balance of the overview after some pictures. Per the rules is should be included.

And in my opinion you are WRONG, Rick. It is physically separated from the Overview. Please Riock, be sure your opinion is your opinion and don't pretend to state it as FACT. I don'rt believe that Ken has appointed YOU as arbiter, so ALL that you can state is your opinion and i'll thank you to allow for mine.

Do you have any idea how many time I look at something and simply chalk it up to a simply a different point of view and instead of turning it into yet another controversy, I simply make my call and keep it locally and DON"T change the Online on that basis. Why does EVERYTHING have to become a controversy with users throwing insults and attacks. I did neither, I supported Martians ORIGINAL post and got told I didn't read his second post, how does that user have any clue what I did, why not take it on face value that I supported his ORIGINAL post, and now I am told by another user that I am WRONG, how dare you. It is  very clear from the voting that there are differing points of view, and like I said, when i see such things i simply recognize it as such and make my call locally.Instead we have tio turn it into a controversy which results in insults being thrown and resulting hard feelings and the insults and attacks usually originate from the same quadrant of users.
