...but, if the rule is specific to documentaries...

Today, as long as I can read in the rules, we have nothing specific to documentaries. I recall you that I agreed on the necessity to write something specific.

As long as new rules have not been written, you cannot argue about different rules for documentaries or movies. Of course my position in this thread (Contribution Forum) concern present rules, not future ones that have to be discussed in another forum.

Sorry, but I am not going to play this little 'out of context' game with you again.  In the post that I responded to you said, and I quote...

From the beginning, I spoke of consequences on movies on the OP's position about documentaries, and the difficulty to write a rule that would allow that type of credits on certain cases and not others.

As I illustrated, there wasn't much difficulty at all and there would be no consequences.

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

I don't recall you mentioning any consequences...

No this is not irrelevant, as your question is related to the fact that on screen texts during the movie (documentary) are, or are not considered as credits. If they are not, I think my first answer (Dominic Lieven : Himself (uncredited)) is correct. If they are, we have to consider all the texts that describe someone (human or animal) that "played" or "had a role" specially  for this movie or documentary .

Your simple question opens a door that should remain shut, in my opinion.

You said, "From the beginning, I spoke of consequences on movies..." so I went back to the beginning, which was on page one, and there wasn't a single mention of consequences.  In fact, your post on page 3 was your seventh post in this thread and the first to mention any consequences.  While you did mention consequences, it wasn't 'from the beginning'...which might explain why I didnt recall you mentioning any.

What interests me is to give my opinion on a fact that there could be a problem if we open the door of partial credits inside movies. I explained my position in a manner that should be clear for people reading all what I wrote, wanting to understand (not agree, understand...) what I see as a problem.

I am not interested in discussions where my words are partially quoted to critic my position, but never giving arguments on the main problem. Do as you want, after all, I can manage my local even with a little more mess  in the online.

I read all that you wrote...some 20+ posts.  In one post, made almost a week ago, you mention possible consequences.  I am sorry that I didn't commit that post to memory, as you seem to think I should have, and didn't recall you mentioning it.

Funny, you don't seem to have a problem doing that yourself as that is exactly what you did to each of my posts...partially quote what I wrote, to critic my position.  More than that, you completely ignored the portions of your own quotes that put my replies into context.

I honestly don't see how this will create "a little more mess" as it will give us accurate data but, as always, you are free to have a different opinion.

Well, I have wrote all what I think about this problem. I shall not convince those who have a different opinion, and they will not convince me.

And yet you keep on repeating yourself endlessly...
