 | | Posted: | | | | | | | While I'm sure may of you may be aware of this, I'm posting this for those who have not heard.   It seems as though Transformers: The Dark of the Moon is pulling an Avatar with it's release.  The DVD and Blu-ray releases coming out on Sept 30 are bare-bone versions. There will be a separate release in the coming months (possibly December?) which will be loaded with special features. The 3D Blu-ray will be released at the same time as the deluxe versions of the Blu-ray & DVD. At least the early, bare-bones versions have low SRPs ($19.99 DVD, $29.99 BD), which is also an indicator of the lack of bonus features. Official press release can be found: here . | | | | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

Good to know. The B-rD will be cheap. I already have the first two on B-rD, and after the weak RotF I do not expect much from DotM. And I'm definitely not interested in feeble bonus features about it like U-Control or how the modern but silly and useless "features" on Blu-rays with the long loading time are called nowadays. I might have interest in an extended version, though. | | | | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Lucky you, I'm jealous. But maybe someday the industry will come up with this, as a brand-new feature, named U-Startâ„¢ or something, charges 5 bucks more per disc for it, and we profile it in the feature section. | | | | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. I will be waiting for the 3D version also. | | | | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
