This would require an iSCSI capabable Blu-Ray player and (at least) Win 7 HP
If you have this:
Simply connect your player to your local network
Enable iSCSI in Win7 (via control panel)
Point Win7 to the new network drive
You can now access it as a local drive. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

| | Posted: | | | | I don't know if I have more then 2 without disk-ID. At least I have added two BRs to the db and of course I couldn't contribute the disk-ID. But it's more about verifying disk-IDs are correct. |

If you are starting from scratch, BulkEdit can create a profile with a discID that you supply, in "Load Manual Profiles" mode. I never added a feature to modify an existing Profile ID becuase it is hard to do that safely from a plugin. | | | Thanks for your support.

As long as you have either SATA connectors on your mainboard or a free IDE-port that wouldn't be the problem. A problem would arise if you were actually trying to watch a Blu-Ray on an older system that isn't supporting HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) in all it's components.
