The last 2 Sundays, my son and I watched discs 1 & 2 of Eerie Indiana, which I consider brilliant, as I commented elsewhere.  Disc 1 4.5*.  Disc 2 5*.  This show is just tons of fun to watch, but sadly it was cancelled all too soon.

My Thoughts:
I just finished season 5 of Supernatural. Over all I enjoyed it quite a bit. Though I have to admit the whole angels storyline did start to get old to me. But then I have always preferred the "monster of the week" type episodes over the season long arcs. But that is something that usually tends to be true... no matter the series I am watching. I got a kick out of the episode Changing Channels where the brothers are put into a fantasy world which they are characters to different television series. Fictional television series... but ones that are very similar to real ones. Despite the whole angel storyline... this series remains one of my favorite current series. It is a series I highly recommend.

My Thoughts:
With today being Friday the 13th.... what better time to watch the next disc of my Friday the 13th: The Series collection? This is a series I always liked back in the day. And I found it held up rather good for me. I think my favorite episode on this disc would have to be Read My Lips... which happens to guest star Billy Drago who made several appearances in Charmed as the Demon of Fear. While I always enjoyed this show... it is one where I can only watch but so many at one sitting. A disc at a time seems to be about right for me. Which is probably why it is taking me so long to get through my collection. Even so... this is a fun show... one that I definitely recommend.

My Thoughts:
I finally got to see the end of this series. I must say... I enjoyed this set very much. My favorite episode has to be the two part series finale. Not only did I enjoy every second of the storyline... I like how they closed the series out. Letting Monk finally solve the case of his wife's murder. It makes me so glad that they knew ahead of time that this was going to be their last season.  Many shows don't get the opportunity to close a series the way they would want to because they don't know in time. I also like that they brought Sharona back for an episode before the series ended. Another favorite episode from this season is the one where Natalie throws Monk a surprise birthday party. If you never seen this series... I definitely recommend it. It is a lot of fun!

Finally, the all of Italian TV series The Octopus has been made available by MHz Networks, (and through various retailers), in Italian, with English subtitles.

As one that has over 3,800 profiles, of which over 3,200 are TV series, that are devoted to the crime genre, I rate the Italian TV series, The Octopus aka La piovra, one of the best.

Watching this series one would think that Italy had the courner on bought politicians, greedy businessme, and criminals, not so, I'll stack our (USA) set of evil doers against any country past or present.

1. Magnificent Seven
The Bundys have another mouth to feed as Married With Children starts a new year. In the seventh-season opener, Peggy's cousin Zemus and wife Ida Mae Wanker make a quick visit and leave behind their five-year old son Seven, who is captivating to Peggy -- and only Peggy. She sees this as her chance to finally be a great mother... or at least try. Kelly gives Bud a poster of "WAGS the Perplexed Pup. Cartoon cutie"

2. T-r-a... Something, Something Spells Tramp
While Peggy seeks Saturday-night conversation, Kelly discusses men with three kindred sirens after being stranded by her date.

3. Every Bundy Has a Birthday
When Peggy discovers that nobody knows Seven's birthday, she chooses a date for him at random. Al is not pleased when it turns out he has lost his birthday to the new kid. Peggy decides to have a party for Seven at a local park, but the party poops when another parent proclaims the public park private for his own son's party.

4. Al On the Rocks
When Peggy uses up the monthly mortgage money to pay Seven's doctor bill, Al is forced to take a second job: bartending at a topless bar -- where it's the bartender who's topless. Meanwhile, Peg starts banning the other Bundys from the house to protect Seven from their germs.

5. What I Did For Love
The way to a man's heart may be through his stomach, but it's not the heart that's sought by Peggy -- who is tired of being ignored by Al in the bedroom so she tries a variety of enticing new outfits in an attempt to whet the appetite of an otherwise starving Al. Unfortunately, the only thing Al wants is a steak dinner.

6. Frat Chance
To meet girls, Bud starts his own "cool" community college fraternity "Alpha Gonna Get'em", but the premiere toga party (in the Bundy garage) lacks fun... and women. A.G.G.'s motto is: "Lookie, lookie, we're gonna get some nookie", and also: "We'll do good on our tests, so we'll feel some breasts".

7. The Chicago Wine Party
The Bundys hit the voting booths, united to defeat political correctness- and a new 2 cent beer tax. When their causes lose at the polls, the Bundys hit the streets for some good old fashioned pillaging.

8. Kelly Doesn't Live Here Anymore
Al decides another Bundy must find a job, and the axe falls on Kelly. This breaks Peggy's heart since no Wanker woman has ever worked before. Kelly must first experience the wonderful world of waitressing, prior to finding her true calling as Kelly Bundy: Philosopher/Waitress.

9. Rock of Ages
When his paycheck is abducted by bill collectors, Al decides to enter a shoe-selling contest. The prize: a first-class ticket to Hawaii, which the family turns into four standbys. But that doesn't keep them from hobnobbing in the first-class lounge with six musicians. Al masquerades as rock star Axel Bundy from "Shoes and Socks". The Bundys later join in to sing for "Old Aid".

My Thoughts:
This is a very uneven start to a new season. So far while enjoyable there is nothing really special here. After nine episodes... I still don't know what I think about the added kid to the series. But then again (other then a couple of episodes) his part has been so small you would miss him if you blinked... so it is a little hard to get used to him. But over-all the series is still entertaining. Not bad for going into it's seventh season.
