Hi all!
I have just tried to add some titles from my phone to the main database. No Joy!
Two were discs I had on order, and I was able to figure out how to edit them and, I thought, move them to my owned section. They *DID* show in owned on my phone.
One was a disc I did not have entered in the database. That UPC was found and entered no issue, and also showed as owned in the database.
I also had to add an on-line retailer to accommodate the last purchase.

I ran a sync. None of the blu-rays show in my main database AND the entry for the on-line retailer is not there either.

Insight appreciated.

I had the same issue when i added a dvd on my gs4, it was on the phone but not on the PC after a sync. I  renumbered my collection on the PC and the missing dvd showed up. no idea why but it cleared the issue

I guess my question would be WHY would you have to renumber your collection to make the app function correctly with the main program??

did it give the titles you added new numbers or ones already in use? or did it just not give them a number? either one would make them not show up unless you did a search for the titile

The new title being added was given a new number. Next up in line to be used. The two I tried to move from ordered to owned already had numbers. They were just a status change.
Also, the on-line retailer  I entered did not transfer and add for the new entry.

When I moved everything manually and ran the sync from the main db to the phone, everything is fine.
The issue is entering via the phone.
I used bar code scanning (which was NO issue), edited the profiles for ordered to owned, saved, etc., ran sync

Any chance that the titles did come over correctly but were sans numbers.  If sorting descending by collection number, profiles with no numbers are at the bottom of the list.

Or maybe the list in DPW wasn't refreshed after the sync.  What happens if you sync with new titles, close out of DPW, and then reopen.  Do the titles now appear?

One was, one was not. One was given a valid number, and one used the number it already had. The new entry was given a new number.
I do not sort by numbers. I only sort by title.
This would not explain the total lack of the new entry, and the new retailer. NEITHER was transferred to the main db.

I tried that. It didn't work.

More info: On the off chance it was something with how I had my db set up:
I DID have my owned db hidden and a custom category for SD DVD and Blu-Ray DVD.
I un-hid the Owned db and tried adding and updating the status of different items.
Results:
  1) I moved 'Castle in the Sky' from owned to ordered for this test. I then ran a sync. The blu-ray moved fine in the mobile version.
2) I edited the title via barcode scanner to owned AND added a NEW title that came in the mail today. That added flawlessly, including adding the retailer (which I finally figured out).
3) I ran a sync. Everything looked great. I though "Wonderful! I'm in business"
  I WAS WRONG

I added one more new title. Ran a sync. Nothing. The title DID NOT transfer to the main database AND I lost ALL previous changes!!! Not only did I loose the changes, everything was reset to where it had been.
I'm about to give up on this adding from the cell phone idea. It's great in theory. In practice it sure isn't working "as advertized" for me.

Gingerbread 2.3.5 HTC Droid Incredible 2

Still not working on my phone.
Are custom categories the issue??
I have a title I have edited from wishlist to owned, no special categories. It moves on the phone. The new dialog section under sync shows the title there ready to go.
Also, I had to add a retailer. Also there. (Since I tried twice, shows twice   )

Still NO JOY

Sorry about the "outburst" above. Too many hours and too late at night.

Like I said, the info is there and WANTS to transfer. It just isn't moving.

If you read newdees response in the other thread on this issue you'll find (s)he thought we were talking about the online collection, not the desktop version of the program.

I don't use custom categories and it still doesn't allow me to transfer new dvd's to the desktop version. It just removes the newly added title from the android version of the database.

So far I've read every post on this subject in both sections. Since I don't use the on-line  database except in an extreme emergency, anything else is a non issue to me.

Whether a title is in a custom category, a regular category or added from scratch (ALL of which are discussed in this thread or the other), the feature does not work for either of us.

Love it.

Google play Spain, price is in Euros but billl received is in USD (6,99), better then put price in USD due current exchange may be or not may be Euros 5,42

Also I notice the following when I update from online database for the first time and then put the program into the background, update stops and continues only if I say to again

New week, new wrinkle. I moved all titles out of special categories. I ten tried to add titles from the phone to the PC database. Again NO JOY
  1) Tried by barcode scan to call up title and then do edits (title was on order). Title called no issue, preformed edit (edit menu>Ordered to Owned, entered price, number populated with next number in db sequence). Saved. Checked. Title not in owned. ??????????????? !!!!!!
I went back through the steps. This time it caught. I went to db sync. Ran sync. No change in PC program.

2) Tried again. No barcode scan. Went straight to Ordered section, edited title as above. Checked if in Owned. Phone db listed as there. Database sync dialogue listed as having title to sync. Ran sync. No change in PC db, phone db now listed title as back in ordered. *sigh*

3) I was hoping for third times a charm, not so. I edited and ran sync. Title DID move in PC database. OK. I now checked the phone. Title still listed in ordered!!!
I don't get it.
It's a SYNC. My understanding is newest information should overwrite old. That sure doesn't appear to be what's happening here.
I appears if I do not make the changes in my PC db they do not hold in the mobile db on my phone.

Help appreciated.

OK.
I figured if custom categories were the issue I would move everything back to owned, ordered and wishlist. Having done this I ran a Database Profile Repair. I then ran a sync with the phone. Everything appeared to be in the correct place.
I tried moving two titles from ordered to owned on the phone. They would not move the first time.
I'm not sure what I'm missing.
I kept working at it and finally the titles showed in Owned. I'm not really sure how, Dumb luck?
I then ran a sync with my PC. *NO* change on the PC, and the titles I had edited were back in ordered!!

I tried again. I set the whole sync up as described above. I ran the sync. This time it worked and moved the titles from ordered to owned in the PC database.

I received a different title and moved that from ordered to owned manually. I then ran a sync.
The title I moved manually was OK. (There are never any issues I have seen when moving PC to phone.)
The two titles I had moved using edits on the phone were back in ordered!!!!!

I really don't get it. It appears changes made on the phone don't carry through, or don't hold. I can't tell for sure. I even deleted an started from scratch with the mobile database.
ALL the same issues still happen.

Is this limited to HTC phones, or are others seeing this, possibly Gingerbread users?

Bump.

Also a question. I know it will be a Monday.
I was just wondering if a bugfix release was in the works?
