Going with the idea its really not not worth the effort. Just offering up a possible option/solution for those that wanted that coveted Android icon. I don't think there is a perfect solution but we could settle for as close to perfect as possible. |

You mean pirated apps and a way to get around the license check? If someone acquires the app from unapproved sources then they might as well not get the icon. But if Invelos would just check for accounts syncing with DVD Profiler Online (and I presume there's no other way), every installed and used DVD Profiler for Android would get an icon, regardless whether its bought or pirated... So if someone acquires the app from unapproved sources then they might as well not get the icon. | | | | | | Last edited: by StaNDarD |

But are you saying that the "rumor" is that apps can be patched to defeat the license check if built into the app? |

Exactly, the problem is not to get the "patched" version (of this or almost any other commercial software-product), but to avoid the malware that usually comes with those. You know, only very few hackers are providing cracked software for anthroposophic reasons. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

But are you saying that the "rumor" is that apps can be patched to defeat the license check if built into the app? Yes, but license check is done by Google or Amazon. Invelos does not get any information about this. If an app is patched to defeat this license check, it will still contact Invelos server the same way the legal version would do. So Invelos has no chance to recognize the patched versions. The Windows version does its license check directly at Invelos server, so they can recognize the illegal keys. | | | |
