Just watched awakenings again the other day. He done some pretty bad films, but his dramatic performances where always at least above average.

But his comedies were always top notch.

A sad day...

This is too sad for me... I been a fan of his (the good and the bad) since his Mork & Mindy days.

I also liked his newest series with Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Very sad news, but it got me to thinking.  I've only seen two of his films:  Hook and Aladdin.  That kind of surprised me.

I just read this on the news a few minutes ago. While he did some nice dramatic performing, the man was comedy gold when his OCD kicked in. Many times I have heard, for movie after movie, that he not only added his personality but impromptu script lines that made his part even better.

Plus, it is one thing for anyone to tell jokes and make people laugh. But he often told jokes between takes causing the day's filming to go over schedule because no one on the crew would make him stop because they were laughing too hard. I heard about this in commentary tracks on multiple films.

While I have never gone anywhere to try and meet my favorite celebrities (eg: conventions,) he was always on my list of people that I would have loved to shake hands with.

R.I.P.

I'm sitting here at 4:30 am, ready to go to bed and have to read that one of my favorite actors died way to young. I loved most of his movies and I'm still watching them from time to time. A very sad day...

PS: Pete, here is one of the Nine Month scenes with him:

The world lost a great actor, comedian and all around funnyman. My thoughts go out to his family in this difficult time!

If you saw him, he made you laugh. The mire mention of his name brought a smile.
