After installing both DVD Profiler iOS v2.1.6 and DVD Profiler PC v3.9.0 Build 1639 sync with the PC version doesn't work any more on my iPad 2 with iOS 8.1.3 . Nothing else was changed. Thank you for any help/suggestions.

The box "Unable to connect. Would you like setup help?" appears immediately.

My search results indicate that it's possible a reboot of the iPad will resolve it.

I rebooted but the problem persists.

I reset the iPad but still no sync.

I also updated to iOS 8.2 after that. Sync still doesn't work.

Unfortunately we don't have any other ideas. Apple support may be able to help.

OK, I found the problem. I was using a proxy server for my wifi connection. When I removed it the sync started to work. No idea why it worked before with the proxy installed.

Thank you for the help!
