Hundreds of people have the problem that they can't get updates for their databases and can't sync it with the DVD Profiler Online profile. Why is nobody doing something about it? The app is useless right now with that problem.

I'm talking about this:
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=851099

I try to get updates with the android app while up or downloading my collection and the bar just stops at 15% and nothing happen. You can read about this problem from hundreds of people, just check the android playstore reviews and more. It's broken.

My syncing has been very inconsistent since the update. It worked with the previous version consistently.

I'm having the sync sticking at about 15% problem, however only when I have get invelos updates turned on.  Once it has stuck the android app is kind of stuffed until I force it to close ( though this does nothing for the syncing problem).  Have tried it on two devices with android 7 and 8, same the both.  Been using the android app ever since it came out, and dvdprofiler for years and years.  First time I've had anything like this happen.

Android App crashed repeatedly after desktop version was updated to v4.
Had to uninstall the app on my phone and reinstall (paying yet again for the app).  Note that I'd bought a new phone since initially buying the app.
This seems to have solved my problem.

As long as you used the same app store and username, you should not have to pay again. I suggest you contact the app store you bought it from and get your money back for the 2nd purchase.

I'm having the same problem.  App hangs when updating profiles from invelos. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and cleared my collection and nothing seems to fix it.  Even tried going with the beta version and same problem.  I am running android marshmallo on a galaxy s7 edge.

I'm having the same problem...

If you are trying to update from the desktop version to the Android version, try this. When the two connect, and the process starts, do not do anything else on either device until the update is finished (i.e., do not browse around or run another program on your computer).

I'm updating from Invelos online. I don't connect my pc directly to my phone. I upload it to Invelos and download it onto the other device. I'd I have  the update option enabled it always hangs at roughly 15% on the updating profiles step.

I am having the same sinking problem. I am trying to update my collection from my cell phone to the online collection and I've just added approximately 100 movies to my collection. Is the only fix deleting the app and downloading it again? Does this mean I have to re-add all 100 movies to my collection, or are they save somewhere on a database on my phone?

Try changing your collection to a Public Network instead of a Private and it might allow for sync transfers; that seemed to help mine.

From the Desktop version: Tools --> Options --> Sharing --> check off "Grant Access to Any computer (including those on the Internet)"

See if that works for you. If not, then change it back just for the sake of security I guess.
