So I just got an advanced copy of American Pie Presents Girls' Rules which comes with a slip cover. The UPC sticker and the UPC underneath on the sheet are different (the one underneath is already in the system). So my question is, can (or should) I submit the sticker UPC since it's on the case itself rather than on the shrinkwrap (and comes with a slip cover so won't need to scan the sheet underneath)?

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I list by the UPC on the actual dvd artwork. The exception would be if it is an alternate retail version. If it's an advanced copy but is not different from the retail version in any way other than the stickered barcode, I don't count it as different.  Stuff like exclusives would be different as well as alternate slipcover versions. That's just me. Since my list is just for me, I count it as I wish. Love your website btw, have fun!

Same here. I'd ignore the sticker.

I'm with the others, the artwork not the sticker.

Alright. Will have to switch cases then (can't remove the sticker w/o damaging the case). A slight hassle but not a big deal. Thanks.

I'd ignore the sticker and go with the UPC on the slipcase.

There is a cutout on the slip cover, so it's the UPC on the case itself (which is the sticker). Doesn't matter, went ahead and contributed the UPC on the paper (just switched cases as I can't remove the sticker), which is the one already in the system.

Is it a question of entering the number from the keep case (visible through the cutout window) or the sticker on the slipcase?

I have that issue a lot with discs from 7/11. They always put this dreadful nylon type sticker on the case. I get some lighter fluid and after pulling off the outer layer, very sparingly apply the lighter fluid. The stickef comes off with no damage to the artwork or the original UPC code.
I learned this trick at B. Dalton Bookseller when I woirked there years ago. A can of lighter fluid can last years BTW. I learned this in 1983 and am only on my second can in 2020
