| Posted: | | | | I've solved the below problem sort: 1. Run the filter - watched by Jane 2. Flag all 3. Run the filter again - watched by John whatever is not checked are the movies the other has NOT watched!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I cannot figure this out as much as I've tried:
Two people watch movies in the database. (marked as watched to filter...watched via a dvd player)
Both watch some alone and some together are marked as viewing. (i.e. Jane and John)
How do I select movies one has watched, but not the other? (if I sort in the filter what Jane has NOT watched and what John has watched, I have over 200 movies and have to compare what is NOT on one list, but IS on the others to find out what Jane has NOT watched, but John has...)
Is there an easier way to find out what Jane has not watched, but John has, than the prior scenario? | | | Last edited: by onemorekat |
I cannot figure out what it is you want . 1. You cannot watch movies in the database 2. both watch and some alone.. who are these people.. family/ friends ?? 3. You want to select the movies they did or did not watch,. all depends on if they marked the movies watched or if they watched them at all... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | You should be able to right click on the movie, choose Watched By and you get a dialog box. From there you should be able to click on the Edit Users button on the bottom left. Setup whatever users you want. Then you can mark a movie watched by any particular person. And you can filter on that too. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. I cannot understand what you are saying. 1) He is obviously watching movies which he has listed in dvd profiler. I don't understand why you think he is usng dvd profiler to watch the movies. 2) Why does it matter if these are friends or family? 3) This doesn't answer the query about using the watched by feature and if you can filter using it. | | | Paul |
| Posted: | | | | Go to filters and use the > button on the top right until u see Personal. There u can give in the Watched status, either choose anyone or filter by the persons u have filled in there. | | | Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: 'WOW What a Ride!!! |
If you have 3 users and only care what movies those 2 haven't watched, then you can use the 'movie pick'. In that you can select 'last watched -> never' and also individually select the target audience. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |
