| Posted: | | | | We've implemented a system of decline reason reporting. Going forward, contributions which are declined due to a common cause will show with the reason and a helpful hint in your contribution list under the My Profiler section of this site. We've implemented a few common reasons to start and will add more in the future as needed. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Excellent news Last time Gerri sent me a PM to explain the reason of the decline (birth year of some actors after merge the headshot database) but now I think it will be easier to see the origin of the mistake. | | | Regards Cyrille |

| Posted: | | | | I agree, a great addition. And yet, it's a feature we're all hoping we don't see much of! | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

I get this message: **Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.** I'm trying at the moment to add movies released by SISU Home Entertainment (Regio 1), a company that releases movies from Israel and not one is in the database. I don't own these but still.....one does his best. |

Also, if you add something to the database that no one else has added, you are using the same information as if someone were to add it prior to release. It's just a timing issue. I don't buy everything by release date and sometimes it doesn't get entered pre-release by anyone else. I can add what I can based on e-tailer info, for example, and then when I actually own it, I can update it. It doesn't happen that often for me, but it does happen. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | One of the primary reasons for the decline, could be if you added titles you don't own, such as cast and crew. The rules state take cast and crew credits from the film credits as credited. That's rather hard to do if you don't own what your contributing.
If your going to contribute something to the database you should only be contributing what can be verified. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |
