| Posted: | | | | The tables should of been rebuilt. I just imported a new collection.xml file. It showed the last dvd I added and gave me only the last top ten studios. Al the others were blank.
EDIT: Got it to worl. Ran the update from Firefox instead of IE and the update completed. I can tell I have alot of reading to do to learn this.
Thanks again everyone Bill | | | Last edited: by Bill MacNeill |

Bill glad you got it to work. Of course the reason that I did it as well was to get the banners.. and my hosting company that I use refuses to allow updates with rsync. And that seems to be a pre-requisite (according to the documentation..).. | | | Paul |

Nope, rsync just would make the update easier. phpnet doesn't have rsync either, but as you can see with wtmac and me, it works. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | sig strips don't require rsync. just a working phpdvdprofiler. You do need to setup your localsiteconfig.php however to get them to work. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

| Posted: | | | | I have got my ws.php working in a browser but I can't work out how to get it working here on these forums. The My Profiler doesn't let em enter it in the signature..
Can you give me some clues?

| Posted: | | | | You can't create the banner in the sig area of My Profiler with the tool provided. The above is your banner from your site. You need to paste the line below into the sig section of My Profiler: (a href="http://www.sfbrain.co.uk/phpdvdprofiler/")(img src="http://www.sfbrain.co.uk/phpdvdprofiler/ws.php?me=Paul" /)(/a) Make sure it is all one line, and change all the round brackets to square ones. I needed to change them so you could see the code. |

| Posted: | | | | A little footnote on the whole banners-in-signatures issue: IMHO you should set the quality to 80% with: "quality" => 80 This makes banners roundabout a third of the previous size without any noticeable loss of image quality.

cya, Mithi Wow! I had never noticed this quality setting! Went from an 80k file, to a ~20k file at quality 70 Still looks decent enough to me (especially since I keep the cover images small). Thanks Mithi! | | | Last edited: by RossRoy |
