I've done several updates to profiles where changing the Audio to Norwegian trigger different end credits, than when watching with English Audio. These are mainly animated movies.

Do you actually mean changing the Audio to Norwegian trigger different end credits, than when watching with English Audio? I've never seen such a case. I've seen several films where localized credits play after original ones, but no original credits at all?

Yes that would be the idea. Now I haven't seen such a thing either. But three years ago the idea of a Hidden Audio was also not even on the radar. If it is possible, by changing the Master Language Setting on a BD deck, to change the Audio to a Hidden Track, it would also be possible that that track could not involve Audio, but a complete print for that language including credits. It is possible, has it happened or will it happen...I can't say, but it is a possibility.

Yes, German film marketing guys are strange.

Yes,
I still remember how Vin Diesel laughed when he heard about the german release title for "The Pacifier".

(It's "Der Babynator")
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Yes, that is exactly what i mean. I cannot remember exactly which profile it was, but I'll see if I can hunt it down some time soon.

Uhm, to get back to the original topic if you guys don't mind, I still plan on going on a 'submission break' so to speak, but I noticed I still had quite a lot of finished modifications in my local database, ready be uploaded. So I'll just finish those up before my break and submit them. It seems like a waste not to submit them after the work was done.

Just one note: there are a lot of easter eggs among those, and most of them haven't been submitted yet because I haven't had time to verify them myself. In the submission notes I'll write the source and honestly admit I haven't checked them yet. That way, voters who think it's worth it can check them themselves and vote accordingly.

I'll finish those up, then finish writing the Japanese romanization paper and after that, it's a long summer break for me

Ugly.

Some of us appreciate the effort Taro. Thanks for deciding to submit the various changes/additions.

Enjoy your break

When you're done with your break Taro, perhaps just give US profiles a wide berth. It seems that's where you've run into the most problems with the ugly user(s).

I'm pretty sure the Disney releases of Miyazaki films do this. (with credits, there are no hidden audio tracks).

Unnecessary Wom

Should have simply said.

When you're done with your break Taro, perhaps just give US profiles a wide berth. It seems that's where you've run into the most problems

The additional editorializing was unnecessary and insulting.

The problem isn't with the region, or the releases, but the attitudes of certain individual(s) in that locality. If you've a problem with the content of the post, red arrow it.

The minority there have ruined it for the majority.

The same could be said in reverse, Wom. Although I am very curious about majority comment, based on my PMs I would say you are in the minority.

Well, uhm, I don't know if this would be an answer that works for everyone, but I thought maybe to draw up an Easter Egg description for all Warner Brothers Blu-rays in my collection and submit that, detailing how to access which menus, audio tracks and subtitles. For the rest I would leave the profile unchanged. I don't know if that's enough of a wide berth. Otherwise they can decline the contribution and resubmit a better one, I guess.
