Since it is difficult right now to determine what type of disc a movie is, other than the image, how about his slight change to the General tab?

Although I currently don't use BR or HD, I like the idea a lot.

The HD-DVD logo is significantly wider, so as long as you don't mind it pushing the regions/upc around, it can be done.

I was thinking of a dynamic width box, that places the region (ABC for BRay and 1-6 for DVD) at the right of the "logo" box, whatever the width of the image may be.

The UPC also varies in size depending on whether it appends "dvd" "hddvd" or "bluray" after the UPC number in parentheses right now.

Yes, that's what I meant.  The region/UPC jump back and forth as you scroll through titles.  They're pushed way right with a DVD/HDDVD disc.

Heres a mashup of what you mean.  I think its still reasonable.  What do you think?

Also, perhaps in List View, put a small Bluray Icon, or the HD part of the HDDVD logo to the left of the "flag" box.  That would also make it easy to look at a large list and pick out the type of release.  Or perhaps add it as a "column" selection in the drop down menu.

Can't the region/UPC be positioned as it is for HD-DVD and then just centre the BRD and DVD logos in the extra space? Or leave them left centred and not worry about the gap? That way the region/UPC won't jump back and forth.
