I hope the file is working for everyone.

Download works, installed it on test-system and gave it a quick run, everything seems okay.

Only little annoyance: in the first line the delimiter is "," for all the data it is ";" ... a little note to fix this for 2.2?

I hope the file is working for everyone.  Let me know if there are still issues.  I'm leaving town for a week tomorrow (Wednesday the 18th), so don't put off reporting issues unless you don't mind waiting.

It is working for me... Thanks!!

I never know that so many of my discs were missing information

I could spend the next year just trying to correct and update..

This pulg-in has achieved my goal of helping me figure out which disc(s) I could trade in / up at Best Buy over the next two weeks.

I'm not sure I understand.  Can you explain that one again?

I am guessing that the export uses "," in the first line (for the field headers). But uses the csv-delimiter from the system's settings (which is a ";" on German windows) for the rest. It should also be used for the first line.

Ah, didn't thought that this can come from the system setting.

Mark: if I do an export on my german configured system the export looks like:
"Title","UPC"
"Foo";"1234567890"
"Bar";"2345678901"

I think TomGaines is on the right track with his guess.

The 'Tags - All' field is just showing one Tag (parent and child). In the case where there are several tags, they are not all showing.

First off, great plug-in.  Use it all the time!

But one thing I'd love to see is a field to determine if the profile is a parent, child or neither.  It'd be great to have a field that lists the UPC, or something,

Also, it seems as if some of the newer fields aren't included, such as color.  One of the things I use the export for is to determine what profiles need to be updated.

I too also noticed that the Tags - All is only showing the first tag.

You could squash missing colors with the filters. Ctrl & F -> Formats and clear all 4 color selections, that will bring up those profiles that have none.

With a new version of DVD Profiler on the way, I'm curious to know if anyone is still using this plug-in?  And if people are still using it, are there any requests that stand out?  I'm getting tired of this plugin and don't need it myself anymore.  So rather than add every new field possible from the program, I thought I'd just take requests.  No point doing work no one will use.

So, if you're still using it, what changes would you like to see?

I don't use it, but it is always my first recommendation for "I need a simple list for Excel" requests.

Maybe bequeath it to another Plug-In-Jockey? Any takers?

I'm fairly certain it runs fine with the latest beta.  I guess I was wondering if any new fields need to be added for export?  Anything that's not in the current plugin.  For example, I can go to the effort of letting you export who gave you the disc as a gift.  But if no one is asking for that data, I see no point in adding it.  Unless I get really bored.  Since I now have the time, who knows what might happen.

Anyway, I'll keep watching for requests.

For me, Database Query is a WEALTH of information.  Being able to sort my collection via various criteria adds considerable functionality to DVD Profiler.  Database Query is the only plugin I really have any desire to use now, I tried a few others but the glossy finish wore thin in such a relatively short period of time that when I rebuilt my computer, Database Query was the only plugin I wanted to reinstall.  Thankfully the old version works well with Windows 7 (for some reason it didn't like the same collection of software on Windows XP.....go figure).

The only things I can think of that might be nice is to keep the old version available in case the new version has unforseeable quirks with my new setup (or other's computers).

Other ideas might be:  Once DbQ is up and has scanned the Collection, it would be nice to be able to scroll down with my mouse, with the current version I can't scroll, except to grab the scroll bar and move it like that.  Also, it might be nice, once DbQ has delivered its results, to be able to bring DVD Profiler back into the forefront to look at some detail or other, right now DbQ takes the forefront and won't give it up, so you have to close it to look something up in DVDP then bring DbQ back up from scratch.  Admittedly, the results are still there when you bring it back up but if I could bring DVDP back to the front, I wouldn't even have to close DbQ.  Not saying any of this is any kind of a deal-breaker...

Other than that, the data DbQ delivers is valuable to me, I like it!

Well, you're in luck.  This thread is about CSVExport.  Database Query isn't going anywhere.  In fact, I've put a lot of effort into it this time around.

Hmm... I don't even currently have a mouse.  I've been doing it all on my Mac.  I'll have to find a good place to test it on real Windows.

Not sure what I can do there.  I think what you're talking about would need to be handled by Ken.  It's his window I'm putting my information in, if that makes any sense.  I do know I have no problems using the main program while my plugin is open.  I can use the program as if my plugin isn't loaded.

Hi folks,

Can someone tell me if its possible to only export one row per title?

I'm getting several rows per DVD in my collection and also all the sub-discs when all I want are the titles.

Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks,
