| Posted: | | | | I just want to thank you for this plugin.
I plan on creating a Yahoo Widget for displaying my collection and scanning through a CSV file is a lot easier than an XML file. |

Well I misstated myself in my first mail so let me go into more detail, I have about 2000 DVD's stored in Sony changers and accessed by Escient equipment, using the report feature of DVD profiler I can generate a list of all my DVD's with a location/slot for each disc, what I can't do is manipulate it in that format. I would like to generate a list sorted by location and disc rather than title, since some things have many discs (Danger Man Set-18) I guess x would have to equal a pretty high number in order to extract all the data. Worse yet I have titles that have an entry for each disc in the set like Danger Man, there are 18 individual entrys each including the disc number in my database but for my movies that contain multiple discs I just have entries in the location/slot area like Lord of the Rings has only one DVD entry which contains four locations for the discs. I hope that helps, sorry for being a PITA. If ther is anything I can do to help I will be happy to do so.
Tom It's still not clear which format you're asking for. Forget the bit about the title. That was just for demostration purposes and you don't have to include it in the export if you're not interested in it. But I still need to know if this should be handled with multiple rows or multiple columns. Multiple rows is a lot easier, but it's pointless if the application you're using can't use the data in that format. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. If you have any issues with it, let me know in this thread and I'll try to address them. But I've been using it for about 2-3 months now without any issues. I've also gone to great lengths to have the output match exactly what we had with 2.4. So if you were using the old files with another application, you shouldn't have any issues with the new files. Hi Mark, I just found this plugin. Great work. One issue I am having is titles with " or other punctuation that appears as a delimiter (?) Examples: title "10" is moved one space left title "Mister Roberts" title: Frank Capra's "Arsenic and Old Lace" I am trying to import into a HanDBase 3.0 database file for use on my palm. Any insight appreciated! Thanks again for the effort!! |

Sorry for not responding sooner I had a little PC trouble and have been off the air for a few days. After thinking about this I think a column format would be best and a value of four (at least for me) would probably catch everything that I need. Thanks again.

| Posted: | | | | I'll look into the title issue. It shouldn't be too hard to fix up.
As for the location/slot issue, I'll give it a few more days for others to weigh in, but that should be doable. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

If you do indeed decide to include location/slot could I also have the description field (I only need the main one not the individual sides for my purposes) I would appreciate it and thanks again.

| Posted: | | | | Hi, Mark!
This is a great plugin, and I almost have it working! Is there a way to include the overview field in the export?
As far as exports for changers, I think a CSV line for each slot would be ideal. The bottom line for me is where to find the disk to play, and for that I need changer and slot.
Actually, for me, it may be a non-issue. My new cat decided she didn't want to be bothered, and I've not had a chance to fix the changer. When it was working, I assigned a disk of a multi disk set to a slot. What would that do, create multiple profiles?
Thanks much. I hope to register soon and get back to migrating my database to 3.x!

| Posted: | | | | Hi Mark
Thanks for your great Plugin. Finally i can upload my dvd-list on my SE P910 again. But it's possible you translate your Plugin into german? Because your Tool uses the MPAA Rating, but in europe (specially in german, austria and switzerland) the movies was rated by the FSK. And can you introduce the music composer?

| Posted: | | | | Mark, thanks for a great piece of work. I too use location and slot and review it often. In fact it is one of the features that pushed me over the edge to buy DVD Profiler.
I have a large collection of TV shows and, as you pointed out, location and slot are all over the map. Putting myself out there to look really stupid, could you make two passes on the library? The first pass would be to caculate the variable length information (like location and slot, plus others that could apply) and the second pass would generate the output file.
Any thoughts? | | | Neil | | | Last edited: by Gone Fishin' |

| Posted: | | | | I'm on vacation and finally found the time to get back to this project. You can get version 1.1 from the location listed in the first post of this thread. I've added all the disc information (labels, disc IDs, Descriptions and yes, location and slot). I also added composer. I don't want to get bogged down adding a bunch of different crew members, but this seemed like a big one. I also fixed the problem with quotes in the titles. I also removed a test menu that was still in there (Thanks Tom!). And I added the Overview field as well. I think that's it. The only request that I didn't get to was to add German ratings. That will be a bit more work. I'm not sure when I'll get to that. The disc related information allows you to list it as multiple columns or multiple rows. And it will list everything rather than trying to limit it to a certain amount. Sorry for the delay, but hopefully the wait was worth it. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | Great plugin, but it seems that UPC-Export is missing. Is there a reason for that, or a way to integrate that in the next version? |
