I guess that's a possibility, midnit. Whic would take me straight back to my absolute opposition to people making global changes to every copy and version of a film based only on the one which they possess. If that is correct we have a mess to unscamble by some undoubtedly well-meaning user. I hope that some users will take the hint and STOP this utter nonsense while it is still relatively easy to unscramble, and i hope that users will stop voting YES to this kind of garbage. As I have said before, we know the problem exists, we don't know exactly which titles might be involved, but all it takes is ONE to create a mess and we know there are a lot more than ONE.

Ummm....all that being said, I ended up voting yes for his amended profile that removed the restoration credits.  What can I say, it matches my local profile so it looks good to me.

This is not an example of different releases of a film having different credits. This is an example of a crew contribution being made without checking the credits.

It does look that way.  I was theorizing that perhaps he was copying and pasting from another region's profile and that's where the crew mess came from.  I guess I'm trying to come up with something other than a willful disregard of the credits, because nobody wants to see that.

If you go back to the first page of this thread, you will see that we...those of us who posted back then (2008)...agreed that restoration crew was acceptable as long as a divider was used.  widescreen was involved in that discussion, so I am not sure why he is removing them now.

I did have to chuckle a little as this exact release was discussed and it was widescreen who lamented that, "poor Robert A Harris got no credit or mention at all."

Ok, but that is no real difference, James and does not excuse making changes to copies and versions that one does not own. As I said beforeone day my DVDs will be out of storage and then i will begin the re-audit process and I expect to find MASSIVE errors caused by this.

AS for restoration crew I will repeat what Isaid in 2007 as my opinion remains the same.

"This is a mixed bag, at the moment, if it is done it has to be done via dividers, personally speaking I would probably be inclined to keep that data locally for now."

The above statement is strengthened by the addition of Custom crew data. BUT, IF we are accepting restoration crew then we should not be playing yo-yo with the data.

My suspicions notwithstanding, I hope that this is the case as well.

Personally, with the advent of custom crew, I'm all for dumping restoration folks in that way.  It's not that I don't appreciate the job they did, but I have trouble reconciling them as regular crew.  My other motivation is because I generally don't like the dividers.  I wouldn't mind them if they served a single purpose, but they've become multi-functional and I'm suspecting they will cause us grief sometime down the road.

I didn't copy and paste from different locations I only have the disc., .

Now how many wet lashes from the noodle should I receive for this ?

I don't know where I saw , ,and obviously I didn't, The restoration notes that said Director of.., I was carried along by the belief that it was somewhere,, and I never checked the screen caps,., and I think what happened was I must have had the erroneous error in my crew section, and overlooked it as it slid into place., then I when the debating went on, I never checked as James did, and brought the attention to the forefront. i was out and away from the PC for well over 15 hours and as soon as I saw the mistake I immediately PULLED it real fast.., rather than carry on the debacle  as so many others do ..

Sorry ..

But it made for a real fun post  there for awhile, ,and brought more of us together as a group...

I believe until morale has improved, is how the saying goes...or something like that.

I'm pretty sure noodle-lashing is skip's department.

Hear ye, Hear Ye. Court is now in session.

The defendant is sentenced to 10 lashes with a very wet pasta noodle (angel hair)

Sentence is suspended and defendant is commended for his prompt action on this matter.

You are correct...The beatings will continue until morale improves...and Skip has a large supply of noodles.

Definitely shenanigans. The director credit was a new addition. If I could have found my disc, we coudl have resolved this much earlier. I think the producer credit is a bit questionable, but the mixer is definitely okay. I figure I'll accept the producer by precedent.

I agree, Ace, if only mine weren't in storage, of course then the question becomes WHICH box.       I do have the DVDs labeled but not down to that level.
