Petr Jákl (1941) Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Swing Kids, Maigret ... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0415894/ Are you sure about the accent? It doesn't do any good to contribute birth years to "Petr Jákl" if next week we find their common names are actually "Peter Jakl". Based on what I see in the CLT - 28 titles/136 profiles for "Peter Jakl" without the accent - I'd say it's very unlikely both their common names actually include the accent. So at the very least, "Petr Jakl (1973)" and "Petr Jakl (1941)" seem much more likely than their accented counterparts. And if we're really lucky, it may even turn out that one of them is mostly credited with the accent, and the other one without it. If that's the case, we don't need birth years for this at all. |

The accent is present in all the movies I own with both "Petr Jákl"s in. I think it's more likely they haven't been entered correctly (with the accent) as accents were only a fairly recent addition to the database. Am I correct in thinking this? | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Accents are not a new thing - I've been here about nine years, and I believe we've been able to include accents since the day I bought the software. But it's entirely possible that for some profiles, the contributor didn't spot the accent, or forgot to enter it. It's just that in my own experience, such accents are extremely rare in actual film credits: usually there seem to be three accent-less credits for every one that does include the accent. Are you sure about the films you own? Have you checked recently? For instance, you mention "xXx" - the CLT shows a staggering 61 profiles that have him listed without the accent. Even IMDb lists him credited "(as Petr Jakl)". Of course they can all be wrong, but I wonder... |
