You might want to take a look at the Panasonic DMP-BD35.

If you don't have a receiver that can decode the new Hi-Def sound formats, you might want to go for its more expensive sibling the Panasonic DMP-BD55, that will decode them for you.

Im a fan of the Sony BDPS350 and BDPS550 respectively. Both are great players that take advantage of sending both next gen audio formats (Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Lossless Audio) via Bitstream through HDMI. SO if you have a next gen amplifier that supports external decoding of either of these formats, it makes for an awesome addition.

Future Shop in Canada right now has the BDPS350 on for 249.99 and that comes with I, Robot, Kiingdom of Heaven: Directors Cut, and The Devil Wears Prada on Blu Good stuff.
