I have a blackberry, and i would buy a dvd profiler for it if it was available. But the only reason i have a blackberry is for work. So yeah it doesn't really make sense to even consider dvd profiler for blackberry's since the majority seems to be business users. An Android version would be the correct path to go

How about 1 for my Commodore 64 on either a 5-1/4" disk or cassette tape...better yet how about one for a programmable cartridge on the Atari 2600.

Would the Apple-version still run on my IIe?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

As the end of the year approaches, I was hoping for a bit or a nibble as to the state of development.

Oh well, maybe next year.

It is like DVD Pro is left behind by many other dvd collection databases, many good features are missing to make it up to date, things moving very slow, maybe better to buy another prog. very sad, dvd pro used to be the best, but now it is getting a bit antike, hope there will come some positive news soon.

Afraid I don't see it. I look around at other programs every once in a while just to see what else is out there. I still feel DVDP is the best out there. And isn't that slow at all from what I can see.

What program out there did you find that is better?

I agree. But then steffen seems representative of a number of users. In 5 years he has one post, no contributions of any kind. So I tale his post with a grain of salt. Dvdpro is still the best there is period.

I would like to know the same thing as well.  It is easy to make generalizations, but I would like to know exactly what is so much better about those other programs.  What features do they have that DVDP doesn't.  I know it is subjective, but DVDP gives me exactly what I need.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Yes the program is always the best thing available, but it doesn't mean it's all fine. Many area are due to a makeover, just some exemples :

The COO list,
open crew credit,
a better way to differenciate the same name (for the personal database),
a better use of the watching stats,
the graphic let a lot to desired (a lot of them look messy),
the rating (some are just wrong and not corrected as reported often),
personalization (COO, language, subtitles,...),
online presentation (seriously 1997 is over...),
anything else I haven't think of.

DVDP is still the best, but there are some things from MY MOVIES I'd like to see incorporated into DVDP, such as:
- better online view: http://c.mymovies.dk/demonstrationhd
- better handling of actor data (one ID per actor, with possibility to add bio info) : http://www.mymovies.dk/products/collection-management.aspx

Believe me I completely agree that there is a lot of things I would like to see. But I do try other software as I find it... just haven't found anything that even comes close.

I tried My Movies.... I didn't like it in the least. Not even their online view. Of course all of this is subjective. But in my opinion it was not worth the time to download.
