I get no error messages, its simply that nothing happens when I click the disc button.  The button changes colour for a second as if its loaded the file but it doesn't.

The "-" is in the folder name.  I've tried using H:\%title%.iso just in case the hyphen was causing problems but i get the same result.

Location and slot are both empty.

The filename isn't anything special.  Tried it using Easy A.iso and also one where it was just one word (can't remember what I ended up using) just in case the space was the issue.

OK, I'll investigate. Thanks for the diagnostic info. By the way I assume when you double click on the file in Windows Explorer, the file plays, right? If not, then you need to set up a file association.

Cheers, I'll have a play this weekend if I get chance.

Yeah, double clicking the iso in explorer mounts it in daemon tools, then if powerdvd is open it plays.

OK, then that confirms it - bug city. I'll try to fix it soon.

This seems like a great feature and I have been having similar problems getting the "Default Open Path" to work as expected.  Here is some additional information in case it helps troubleshoot it:

LoadDVD version 2.10
DVD Profiler version 3.7.2

If I hardcode a path in "Default Open Path" such as g:\movies\Rango\Rango.mp4, it will launch the movie Rango (regardless of what DVD I ask to launch, of course).

Once I try to use the DVD Profile parameters and I click Play/Retrieve, nothing happens.  No message, no media player launch, nothing.

I have tried the following path combinations with no success:
g:\movies\%title%\%title%.mp4
g:\movies\Rango\%title%.mp4
g:\movies\%title%.mp4

I have tried using %title%, %TITLE%, %SORTTITLE%, etc. with no success.
I tried quoting the entire path just in case spaces were causing some havoc.

I also tried g:\movies\Rango\Rango%title%.mp4; interestingly enough this did not work either, which seems to indicate that the parameter (%title%) is being substituted for something.

The movie file name and folder match the DVD title in DVD Profiler.

Hope this helps...

Thanks. I think I already found the bug. I'm working on a rather large upgrade at the moment, so it will be awhile. If you really need it sooner than, say a week, I might consider an interim release - one of the perks of being a Pro customer. Send me a PM, and remind me of your customer ID.

LoadDVD Pro V2.19 Available

Fixes:
- all the same fixes as in LoadDVD V2.19 including the symbol substitution bug
- Click ion PlayList icon now correctly restores the hot spots
- Netflix title match has been improved

New Features:
- all the same new features as in LoadDVD V2.19, including multi-disc icon and CX7000ES support

Limitations / Issues:
- Silverlight installation cookies are not always recognized on 64-bit systems.

As usual, prior customers can download the upgrade for free. Just give me a day or two to reset the download flags. If you can't wait, PM me with your customer email/userID.

I have other new features in the works, but it was taking me so long to get it all debugged that I split out what I thought was ready for release. Keep me posted of any issues.

@dloebig, thanks for your patience. I think the problem is fixed. Please let me know if you can confirm this, or if you still are having a problem with it. This feature is identical in both LoadDVD and LoadDVD Pro.

Would like to know if this plug in will allow me to select a movie through DVD Profiler IOS on my iPad and play it through the Sony BDP-CX7000ES 400 disc blu-ray changer?  Would I be able to do this without having my computer on?
Since moving from MyMovies to DVD Profiler, I'm loving the the IOS interface and would love to use it direcly with the changer to select and play a disc

Please advise

I can't find my answer to this. If in fact I didn't answer and you still care:

I would love to be able to do this. A request for DVDP IOS plugins has been on the table with Ken for many months now. Outside of DVDP, there is a method for communicating with LoadDVD over IP available to any application on any platform that could be used to operate any of the devices that LoadDVD supports. But nobody has requested this, so I haven't turned it on yet.

By the way, my methods all assume a PC server. You would need a different plugin or native support for an IR device attached to the phone (I think the built-in IR emitter is not powerful enough).
Thanks for your support.

Jim, from the beta thread, the collection's tabs issue i have it as well, i posted a screen shot in that thread.

Also have an issue with a component not being found on program start, but i am running 3.7 and 3.8 as separate installs. This is something that's been going on for a while, just never bothered to trouble shoot.

Ill have a little time at the shop to tinker if you have anything you want me to try for you.

Thanks Rob. I sent the other user a PM, but haven't heard back yet.

(1) Could you please confirm that turning LoadDVD on/off (and nothing else) makes the problem appear/disappear?
(2) Assuming that (1) is confirmed, please try turing off the Icons in LoadDVD. I am thinking it could have something to do with my use of menu icons ("menuglyphs").
(3) If that doesn't fix it, try disabling the LoadDVD toolbar.
(4) If that doesn't fix it, try disabling the MyTools toolbar.

If that still doesn't get it, then I have to think some more about it. There is nothing explicitly that I am doing with the Collection Lists Tabs display. So it must be an artifact of something else, which I will probably not be able to solve without Ken's help, if it involves the API functions.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, the seccond problem can probably be fixed by copying the LoadDVD folder from the normal Profiler \plugins folder to the corresponding \plugins folder of the Beta release.
Thanks for your support.

Jim,

Ok I went into Tools>View Plugins

Then unchecked Load DVD Pro

That i assumed turned LDVDP off, but it did leave the empty box for the tool bar, so I removed that via the customize button.

I have edited 3 or 4 profiles, loaded a new disc, resized windows etc and so far the issue has not cropped up, but I couldn't tell you any action that woudl cause it to happen to start with.

I'll poke around a bit more with it like this and see if it crops up again, then work further down your list.

Ummm, I think so. At least that's what I asserted in the post just following the one you quoted. But the user never got back to me ... so I don't know if his particular concerns were satisfied. (that happens a lot, unfortunately. I just assume silence means all is well.).

Did you try it? Let me know how it goes.
