From the contribution rules:

"If a movie is on both sides of a disc in Widescreen and Pan & Scan or Full Frame versions, identify this by entering the Side A description as "Main Feature (Widescreen)" and the Side B description as "Main Feature (Pan & Scan)" or "Main Feature (Full Frame)", or the reverse if that is the order on the disc sides."

Which suggests you use the widescreen Disc ID.

If I understand you right... the boxset is of 3 different movies... on 3 different discs... so yes it would be a boxset. And 2 of these discs are double sided discs. And you are asking which side you should make disc id profile from.

I don't remember anyone ever asking this before. Rules don't mention it so I would say it actually don't matter. But I would personally use the widescreen side. Mainly just a preference. What I am used to watching and working with.
