Though it's not uncommon to put several trailers in a single video file. You could very well have a five-minute video consisting of three trailers.

I actually see this quite a bit. Matter of fact I just was working on a profile earlier that was up over 7min of nothing but trailers in a single video file.

I would like a tool that would convert the end credits video into text. I think spammers have already created such tool, for different purposes

This thread would be valid in the plugins forum but is equally valid here.  Carry on!

I mentioned before that I tried that on a couple of sample screens using Microsoft's built-in OCR functions. But it didn't work very well, even after I messed with the contrast and brightness on an already relatively sharp image. When I get to the Blu-Ray stuff, I might try it again. Those images are probably sharp enough to yield decent results.

If anybody wants to work on some code that we could later integrate, let me know - cause it will be awhile before I get back to that experiment. PM me for a link to a sample project that gave me head start.

Just out of curiosity, what do spammers do with that? Guess I'm kind of naive about such things.

Oh right, of course. I was trying to think of spamming related to scanning DVDs. Had the blinders on.

Still working. Trying to incorporate some of the ideas shared here. Also lots of crazy details. One small example: IFO says "PG13", DVDP wants "PG-13", and the list goes on ...

Ok, but I was planning to announce the plugin in the Plugins Forum and continue there, but if you prefer to continue here, so be it. Don't get you. You complained, I said I agreed with your point of view and now here you go again.

Perhaps you seek publicity. Fame is fleeting, but infamy is eternal.
