I've finally decided to move my rather large collection to binders and I'd like to use DVDProfiler to keep track of which binder houses which movie.  Is there an easy way to set the location field for multiple discs at the same time.  (I should note that all my DVDs/Blu-rays are currently entered into DVDProfiler.)

Right now I'm finding the disc in the database, <control-P> to get the personalization menu, then adding the location.

I was thinking it would be easy to flag the titles in one binder and move them to a custom category.  Once I've done that can I assign a location to every disc in the category?  (I'd then move them back to the main db.)  If I can do it without moving them, so much the better.

Any help would be appreciated... this is going to take me long enough as it is.

First things first: make a backup of your collection beforehand! Big changes give opportunity to big failures!

For the re-organization I would recommend to use Tags
Create e.g. tags "Binder 1", "Binder 2" and so forth and do the hard physical labor and assign the Tags via Flags.

Now get the Plugin BulkEdit, filter for "Binder 1" and
Choose "Disc Information", "Location", "Slot", "Sort Title" and "Title" then "Load -> Filtered Profiles"
Now you can use the Multi-Copy Tool 2 to replace those empty Location-Fields with "Binder 1"

You even can populate the Slot, if you want to, maybe give that a try before the actual sorting.

To hold Location/Slot-information a profile must have at least one "Disc" present, if this is not the case you can add one inside BulkEdit by right-clicking the profile.

Thanks a lot Mithi!  That sounds like just the solution I was looking for.  It will save me a lot of time on a project that's going to take up a huge chunk as it is.

And if you hit any bugs or snags or have suggestions for improvement of BulkEdit, I will be watching for your posts in the BulkEdit thread. Good luck. Keep us posted. Thanks also to Mithi.
