| Posted: | | | | Quoting myk: Quote: OK, purchased and installed on my Samsung Galaxy S3. A couple of issues: Won't sync with my DVD Profiler Online though, and When logging in to "Update DVD Profiler Online" it sticks in the "Sign in to Invelos" page. Quoting rdodolak: Quote: myk, can you be more specific on the actual behavior you're experiencing? What do you mean by "it sticks"? Quoting myk: Quote: Sure. Under the Databases tab, when I select the "Update DVD Profiler Online" option to update the database, I enter my DVD Profiler username and password, check the 'save password' box and select 'Sign In'. The app then opens a 'Signing in to Invelos' box and then drops back to the 'Sign in to Invelos' screen, which I cannot get out of; the 'back' button doesn't work and the only way to get out of it is to exit to my home screen.
Although the original sign-in returned a 'sign-in successful' (or similar, can'r t recall the wording) message, the app seems unable to syncronise with my DVD Profiler online.
Hope that helps?
Edit: Furiously fast, repeated hitting of the 'back' button does get me out of the 'sign in' screen. Quoting rdodolak: Quote: Have you tried creating a second database? If not, what happens when you try (i.e. do you get the same results)?
Note: You have to have a current database and the app won't let you delete your current one until a new one is created.
1) Database -> Add Database -> Connect via DVD Profiler Online -> Sign in to DVD Profiler Online 2) Specify Username and Password -> check Save Password -> click Test and Save 3) You should receive a Sign in succeeded message. Click OK. 4) Select storage local: either Internal Media or Internal Media Card (you may have other options) 5) Give the database a name and click Save Database 6) You'll be prompted to "Open and Update this Database" and click Yes. Quoting myk: Quote: I get as far as the Sign in succeeded message, but no option to select storage or name the new DB is available, it just returns to the selection of PC/Online/Local Database. Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: Try creating and opening a local-only database, then try adding some sample entries. If all works well, visit the Databases tab, tap the current DB, and tap Change Connection Type. Follow the prompts to connect to DVD Profiler Online. |

| Posted: | | | | OK, tried creating a local database; that seemed to work OK, but whenever I try to add movies (Star Wars IV-VI; Skyfall) the app hangs, then crashes. When I restart it the movies are in the Db however.
Following your advise Ken, I then tried to change it to an Online connection type. Same problem as initially recurred (hangs at the sign-in screen) and cannot update online collection.

| Posted: | | | | I've got it up and running just fine on my Galaxy S3. I connected via wifi, and had to use my IP address instead of server name, but it added my collection successfully. Took a while to upload my collection of about 1000 titles, but it looks great on my end. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

My Galaxy is connected via my work WiFi at present, but logging in using an IP address would be difficult Eagle is referring to the DVD Profiler for PC connection method rather than the DVD Profiler Online method. When you set up your database you have one of three choices: DVD Profiler for PC, DVD Profiler Online, or Local. | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

| Posted: | | | | Didn't realize how far behind in firmware releases the EVO 4G was, did it get an actual 2.3.5 release or is that a root/mod? |
