i have invelos dvd profiler 4.0 and i'm a lifetime user.  I use FileZilla to upload my image and a collection.xml file to my website.  (I flagged 1 movie and uploaded it - the collection.xml file - and 1 image and 1 thumbnail). Then I went to my website (dvdeez.info/index.php), which has 2547 movies in it.  I went to update and CHECKED the box "Complete Update will be performed" and UNCHECKED the box "Update database to remove profiles that are not in xml collection:"  It finished almost immediately and when I went back to the main website, all of my movies were gone except the one I had before all of this started....the movie that I uploaded the collection.xml and 1 image and 1 thumbnail (using FileZilla) wasn't there either.

I have had a stroke in February 6, 2017, and I've had a hard time and have forgotten a lot.

Can you please help or point me in the right direction?    THANK YOU!!!

Most important. Do nothing else until you get some solid advice. People will need to ask questions. The last thing you want to do, is change the answers as we are investigating. So, do nothing else for a bit until we figure out some options for you.

I have a phpDVDProfiler based website myself.  I update it almost daily. (See the link below in my forum signature.)

The "Complete Update will be performed" option will replace everything in the database with whatever profiles exist in the "collection.xml" file you uploaded, hence the result you got.

The "Update database to remove profiles that are not in xml collection" option would have effectively done the same thing since your "collection.xml" file only contained one profile.  This option compares your existing database to what's in the "collection.xml" file adding, removing and updating the profiles in the database, so that it matches the contents of the "collection.xml" file.

To "add to the existing database only" you'll want to make sure neither option is checked.  Any profiles within the "collection.xml" file not already present in the database will be added.  Any profiles within the "collection.xml" file already present in the database, those instances in the database will be updated.  No profiles in the database are removed in this case.

So at this point you just need to generate a fresh "collection.xml" file from DVD Profiler that includes all the profiles you'd like to be able to see online, then uploading the file and running an update using the "Complete Update will be performed" option.

As for the image files you uploaded, the default directories are "...\phpdvdprofiler\images" and "...\phpdvdprofiler\images\thumbnails", so check to make sure that's where you uploaded the images.  If you need any more help just let us know.  I went ahead and subscribed to this topic, so I'll get copied on any posts going forward.

Well the good news tkrk is that you haven't actually lost any of your movies.  Your phpDVDProfiler based website just needs to be updated successfully to reflect your local database.  As I said in my replies to you via PM, I'd be happy to take a look at this with you.  Just let me know.  I'll be heading out for the next couple days here shortly, but should have some time on Sunday if you still haven't sorted this out by then and are interested in having a quick troubleshooting session.

I discovered that there were a couple of phpdvdprofiler directories in the right side (remote site) of FileZilla.  I tried to fix it and now I can't get into my website (dvdeez.info/index.php).  I remember there once was a tutorial about the preferred structure of the website.  Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like you may have moved some folders by accident or something.  The default folder structure is shown below.

phpdvdprofiler\gfx\ratings\
phpdvdprofiler\headshots\cast\
phpdvdprofiler\imagecache\
phpdvdprofiler\images\thumbnails\
phpdvdprofiler\lb\images\
phpdvdprofiler\skins\phpDVDProfiler_Skin\

And you want to be sure the "phpdvdprofiler" folder is placed inside your "htdocs" folder on your web space.  At least that's what my folder is called.

Also, make sure your "index.php" file is located directly under your "phpdvdprofiler" folder, i.e. "...\phpdvdprofiler\index.php".

FYI to anyone that might be listening in and thinking about offering additional suggestions.  I just finished assisting tkrk with this.  Got everything sorted out.  His website is fully updated now as a result.

Great Lowpro
Is there someone that can share the archive of the last version of phpDVDProfiler because I would like to reinstall it on my website but don't have it anymore.

Thanks in advance.

I think this was the latest version available.  Click here.  It doesn't include the updates I made to certain files here though.
